I had an iMac and was using garage band but my computer messed up. I want to get a cheap laptop, maybe hp or Lenovo and then purchase software separately. I want to record vocals and instrumentals.
I'm using Lenovo G580 series laptop with OS Windows 8.1 64-bit. From past few days i face some problem related to Wi-Fi. In few interval the Wi-Fi itself become limited and start showing limited access. If I disconnect the Wi-Fi and try to connect it connects but again after certain interval it start showing limited.
I try few thing like i download a fresh Wi-Fi driver from Lenovo support and install it but it didn't work.
Please tell Is it working good or not? Or can i install window xp professional to it?
I'm going to university soon and i'm kind of into gaming and watching movies on my laptop, so i was wondering if this laptop will be suitable, it's a Lenovo G5080 Laptop - Core i7 (5th Generation), 15.6", 500GB, 4GB, Win8.1
Do i need better specs or is this fine?

I have Lenovo g580. I was using my Wi-Fi earlier also. But when I updated it from windows7 to windows 10 I'm having this problem. When I visited device manager and clicked on network adapter. I got to know that my realtek wlan apater is not working properly. And showing (code10).before updating I used my Wi-Fi and I dint have any cable. What to do. I want to enjoy the features of windows 10. An answer would we greatful.
Is Lenovo yoga laptop good to use? - 1
I know that when the ethernet cable flashes a certain color like orange or green I'm capable of 100/1000 mbps speed. But I have two laptops one being an Lenovo Ideapad p500 touch running on W8.1 and the other a Dell XPS 1640. When I plugged my ethernet cable to my Dell xps 1640 running on W7, the end of the ethernet cable connected to the modem would flash green. On the other hand when I plugged the ethernet cable into my Lenovo ideapad p500 touch it would flash orange. I used different ethernet cables and they would always flash green on my Dell and orange on my Lenovo. Oh and 1 important note my ethernet cable used to flash green on my Lenovo when I first purchased it. I added the Windows version just in case as I have experienced many problems on Windows 8 and 10.
Added (1). Btw my connection is 50/mbps but like I stated above, the ethernet cable used to flash green.
I have been an eBay member for over 11 years. I have a laptop up for sale and it is going for $300, it is an older Lenovo Laptop.
Today I had someone from Indonesia buy the laptop, I live in Canada and typically I do not like shipping outside of North America (Canada & USA). I noticed that they have a zero feedback (which is a huge red flag), they have been a member since January of 2014. They said in the comment section "i really want it. Give me the total number i should pay including the shipping tax."
Now I do not sell a lot of things on eBay maybe one or two items a year. I'm 99.9 percent sure this is a scam. The shipping cost alone to ship a laptop from Canada to Indonesia is like $200.
Like I said in the beginning I have been a member for 11 years and not once have I got negative feedback, but if this is a scam I guess it is worth it. Just for the record all they have done is bought the item, not paid for it yet.
It seems to me that there used to be a way many years ago that I could prevent buyers with zero feedback, no PayPal account and many other parameters from buying one of my items. It must be a hidden feature now.
What are your thoughts on this? Anybody ever had this happen?

Will be using purely for college. Microsoft Office, photoshop and many others. Will probably upgrade it too 8GB of RAM. I might also use it to occasionally game, but it's not a priority. Also If anyone has experience with these models, could you tell me what the keyboards are like?
I'm in my junior year in a university and I have this 15.6 inch 2.5 lb lenovo laptop that I hate taking to school with me because of its size. My question is, should I get the new iPad Pro with the Apple Pencil and keep my lenovo for backup or should I go for a Macbook? Or should I just stick to what I have and just suck it up?
