What can I do with my laptops hard drive?

I don't know much about hdd and sdd besides i have the option to remove the hdd (on my lenovo y50) and replace it with a much faster ssd (which also doesn't spin so it's less likely to be damaged inside the machine)

Anyways, once I take the 1tb hdd out what are my options with it? Or is it just a piece of junk until I put it into another laptop? Can it be used inside a ps3? Or as external memory?

HP Spectre 13t-3000 vs Lenovo thinkpad x240?

I'm looking into getting a new laptop and I'd really like for it to have a long battery life, have a big enough storage space, and be relatively small in size. I've narrowed it down to the HP and Lenovo laptops and have looked up reviews from customers and gadget reviewers and I'm still stuck. Can anyone give me any more insight into which would be the better option?

If so the graphics card on the second one is a
Intel HD Graphics 4000 with 128MB of dedicated system memory is that capable if running skyrim on low settings an if so what's the max that computer can run

I7 4510u+ GT 840M OR i7 4702MQ + GT740M?

I want to buy a new laptop. I'm confused between these two.

1. HP Pavilion 15-p045tx (i7 4510u+ GT 840M)

2. Lenovo idepad z510 ( i7 4702MQ + GT740M)

I will be using laptop for moderate gaming and for medium pocessing in MATLAB, ANSYS, FLUENT.
Which one should I buy considering future prospective?(atleast 4-5 years)

Or should I go with an i5 4210u+ Nvidia 820M configuration to save money?
( HP 15-r022tx)

I want to buy laptop just to serve these purpose.
(All laptops are with 8 Gb ram)

Please suggest the best laptop.

Who is the best in laptops?

I just got back from the store looking for a new laptop. So i went over to Best Buy to look. And they had brands that i never heard of The black woman working there was telling me that (Lenovo) is the top brand. Ok i took my trust out of HP don't like them. So would you prefer Lenovo a good thing. Thank i settling on on. I was going to get another Toshiba but now thinking on getting the Lenovo since it top class and well built.
