How do I fix my laptop audio when its making strange robotic noises?

My laptop audio is making robotic noises when i play a video. I fixed this before, i went to device manager and changed the settings to the device output device and it worked
BUT now it's having the same problem, i attempted to change this problem again through changing the settings and it didn't work this time. So how do I fix it now?
It even go to a point where the audio was lost when a computer update occurred and i fixed it through the device manager settings and by updating the audio driver.
So why is my laptop making robotic noises again when i listen to a video? It seems like the video or sound would slow down and screech a bit.
This is a new lenovo laptop, i bought it last November.

Need help choosing a new laptop?

Okay, so I may be asking for a miracle here but I found the Lenovo Legion Y520 for $699 and I love it, but it would take more than 5 weeks to ship. I enjoy that laptop because I need a decently strong computer to run adobe cc, and if I'm making the investment, this one also doubled as a gaming laptop which is very nice. I won't be trying to run GTA V or The Witcher, I just want gamecube & ps2 emulators as well as newer versions of simpler games like Sims.

I was just curious if anyone had some recommendations for a laptop that could do this without exceeding $700?

Never owned a Windows 10 laptop that was decent. My last one was junk with only 32GB of storage and wanted something that will be powerful enough with enough RAM and storage.

Is Lenovo a good brand?

I want a compact, long lasting and fast laptop for college. I'm torn between the HP Pavilion x360 and the Lenovo yoga. I've had an HP before and I love it's longevity. I've never heard of Lenovo so I'm not sure if the salesman at Best Buy was lying to me when he said it's a great brand haha. He did show me a test on the Lenovo's speed and I will say that it was extremely fast.
