I have been watching movies and shows on Netflix on my laptop for a while now. Recently, whenever I try to watch something on my laptop via Netflix, once I hit "play," the screen seems to shift down an inch or two. So there's a black bar at the top of the screen where the gap is, and the bottom is cut off. This not only cuts off a portion of the picture, but it inhibits me from using any of the functions at the bottom like "play/pause" or "full screen," etc. I have Windows 8.1, my laptop is a Lenovo, it's fairly new (I just bought it August 2013). I have already cleared the cookies from my account and uninstalled and re-installed the Microsoft Silverlight Plug-In. Is there anything else I can do?
Side note: We use Netflix on our TV through the Wii, and I can play videos just fine through my Netflix account on the Wii. It's only on my laptop that there seems to be an issue.
I want to buy a gaming laptop with the following configuration:
Processor: Intel Core i5 3230M 2.6 GHz
RAM: 6 GB DDR3
GRAPHICS: NVIDIA GeForce GT 740M 2GB DDR3
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit
What will be the price of the cheapest laptop and brand with these features?
Guys i'm planning to buy a good gaming laptop and I'm from India.
So please suggest me a good gaming laptop which has good specs.
I have this laptop in my mind-
LENOVO IDEAPAD Y510 (59-390016)
My brother dropped my laptop today; everything but the graphics seems fine. It is a Lenovo Y510P, with dual graphics cards (using the ultrabay). I think the one in the ultrabay is a little shaken up? When unplugged it has always run a bit slower, but fine otherwise. Now the screen flickers, as if the frame rate were off. But when I plug it back in to the power outlet the flickering stops and performance is increased. I don't trust the increase performance when plugged in, because the main GPU could be taking over then. Is there a way to do isolated testing on the ultrabay GPU?
Ok this is the lenove spec

I'm running Windows 8.1 on a laptop and have an integrated HD Webcam using the default software Lenovo EasyCam.
I need to find a way to lower the quality of my feed when I'm skyping due to a newly implemented data limit from my ISP, as it is currently using about 1mb/second, and would really like to avoid having to get an external webcam just to be able to lower from HD feed, anyone that can help please do so As soon as possible!

Hi. I currently have a Lenovo Ideapad n580. Its my first laptop (I'm 13). I just picked out the number of RAM and a good amount of memory. I also use serato dj with a mixtrack pro II. The graphics card sucks. I was actually looking for a computer to game on. Minecraft, Dead Island and Garry's Mod are what games i'm looking to play. So as of now, let's get one thing straight. I don't want to get comments saying, "lol there are none" or anything other wise. I'm not going to build my own. No time. I'm looking for a laptop from $200 to $400, a good graphics card, atleast 4gb RAM and 500gb. I'm actually looking for either a touch-laptop, an all-in-one desktop and just a plain laptop. No chrome/note/netbooks. Maybe some customization options such as the replacing the keyboard for a colored/backlit or something. To fit my personality almost. If not, then forget that. If you can answer atleast one of these questions, Please Help ME OUT. If you can't, don't put a worthless comment.
I've been having this problem lately. On some games, they run perfectly smooth when I have my laptop plugged into my monitor, but when the monitor is not plugged in, the games lag horribly. I can tell you for a FACT it is NOT my pc specs. Lenovo y510p dual Nvidia GTX 755m in sli and Intel i7 should not cause lag. Anyone know what this could possibly be? It only happens on some games. Garry's mod, team fortress, work fine but things like GTA4, ARMA 3, etc Lag horribly when not plugged into my monitor.
