What's going on with all manufactured computers?

Bought a Toshiba NB505 with Windows7. In 2011
It began do slow down and crash a lot so I had to get another laptop. I went to BEST BUY and they told me that there are no computers with Windows 7 anymore. There's only Windows 10. I had tried friends' computers with Windows 8, and Windows 10, and I thought it was awful, especially Windows 8. I even read reviews on computer magazines saying that WIndows 8 and WIndows 10 are not as user friendly as Windows 7. At my workplace there are laptops with Windows 10 and it seems that the touch pad is over sensitive and while you are typing text the cursor can out-of-nowhere jump to a completely different area of the page and even worse than merely that, it seems that your wrists resting near the touch pad as you type can mean that all of a sudden certain functions go off and suddenly an entire paragraph you are typing can suddenly get highlighted and then erased as you continue to type and if you don't immediately notice and click "undo" you can lose a lot of text. I found out this is not just with one WIndows 8 or Windows 10 computer. It seems to be a problem with all new laptops. However it seems that Windows 7 is no longer being made. Is this true?
Also I eventually bought a small Lenovo ideapad 100S. The price was affordable enough even with WIndows 10 and I needed to buy it to type letters and such on Word document.
But why do I often get a message when I'm NOT connected to the internet when I actually am?

Which is better, a 2 in 1 laptop or a laptop with a separate drawing pad?

I'm looking to update my current laptop which is a Lenovo IdealPad Z570 1024 - 15.6".
I've been looking at the Lenvo Yogas and convertibles, as I like the look of them for aesthetic reasons but I also like the idea of using the touch-screen with Photoshop (although it won't be the primary purpose - more often than not I use the laptop for Microsoft office etc) as I'm currently studying illustration.

I'm not concerned with the weight etc, as portability isn't a huge problem. Ideally, I would like a 15.6" or a little bigger, as close to my current laptop as possible. I've narrowed my options down by ruling out tablets and pc's, and detachable 2 in 1s.

when researching various laptops etc I discovered that the 'convertibles' and the 2-in-one laptops didn't have a optical drive which concerns me a little although I'd assume that an external drive can be easily obtained.

as an artist/illustrator would it be more practical to have a 2-in-1 tablet/laptop or a laptop with an external/separate drawing tablet?
any help would be appreciated

Should I buy a Windows Laptop or Macbook Pro?

I'm a college student. I have an Asus laptop which has an i3 processor 500GB HDD and 4GB RAM.
My main purpose is to do college work, studying and programming. I have lots of programming software (like Netbeans, Eclipse, Python, Visual Studio) etc on it which has caused it to run slowly.

So I was thinking about buying a new Windows laptop. A regular Lenovo or HP or Dell Laptop with 256GB SSD, 16GB RAM and i7 processor would cost around $800 to $900. But my friends are recommending me to buy Macbook Pro. I did some research and I like it buy it's way too expensive. The 15" macbook pro with same configuration is like $1900 (almost double than Lenovo).

My friends argue that Macbooks will last longer and that I'll have a better programming experience.

I don't know if it's worth spending the money. What do you guys suggest?

Advice on Lenovo thinkpad e420s laptop?

Hi everyone I'm looking at buying a used laptop computer, Lenovo e420s with i5 2410m processor. I have read that some i5 equipped models have switchable graphics, namely dedicated graphics processor Radeon 6630m as a secondary. How can I tell if the computer is equipped with this option if the seller does not know and the operating system is not installed?
