What laptop should I purchase? - 1

I really need a new laptop since my Lenovo one weighs like 5 pounds, is bulky, and terribly slow. I'Ll be mostly using google programs like docs and slides and doing web browsing. But I I'll also be watching videos and playing browser based games. Sometimes I connect my laptop to my t.v so having an hdmi port would be good. My little brother uses my old laptop to play minecraft and sometimes Roblox but I'm planning on selling that laptop at a local computer store so this laptop NEEDS to play minecraft smoothly, he has really big tantrums and throws everythig in sight if one of his games lags or doesn't work (partly why my lenovo laptop is now destroyed) I'd rather have a smaller screened laptop with a screen size of less than 15 inches and the ram MUST be at least 8gb, it should also have a decent storage since I don't plan on adding any sd cards or ram sticks. If you decide to help me thank you! I'm very picky and am hoping to get this laptop for a fairly cheap price since I want to buy a new phone soon.

External hard-drive windows/macbook?

I have a WD external hard drive, I have a '09 macbook and a lenovo. I formatted the hard drive to be backward compatible between the two laptops. The issue i'm having is with Itunes. I copied all my music from an old windows and dropped it into the macbook. No problem there. I bought a new laptop, put windows 7 on it and now when i use the same hard drive the music is not transfering properly. Half the songs won't play on Itunes. HOWEVER if i just play the song off windows player there's no issue. Someone help please!

Lenovo Yoga cursor frozen?

My laptop cursor is frozen and I can't move it with the touchpad. I can navigate with my keyboard, but obviously I still need it fixed. I've tried restarting my computer and shutting t down/starting it up again. How can I fix this?

How do I install a new copy of Windows 7 with a bootable USB?

I get stuck on the install guide which claims there's no "driver" to be found.

I've tried including Intel Chipset Manager and Driver in the USB drive - something to do according to http://superuser.com/questions/873781/windows-7-install-load-driver-error-lenovo-laptop - but I might not have understood how to do that properly.

The existing OS on the computer is Linux. And the computer model is Lenovo Y50.

I'm planning to buy Lenovo Ideapad 310-14. It's my first time to use lenovo laptops. How are lenovo laptops? Are they good? And what about issues? Battery, freezing, overheating? I'm gonna use it for general purpose. For school, watch movies, photoshop, and sometimes gaming like csgo, ps2 emulator, ppsspp. Is it good?

Which of these gaming laptops would be good?

I'm interested in buying a gaming laptop, so I narrowed it down to these. My budget is around $1000-$1300 but unless the price is right, it would be nice not to pay over that much. A friend of mine said that a NVIDIA GTX 960m card would be good enough for me? Since I'm unlikely to play any recent demanding games and don't care much for max settings or weight of the laptop. I would like to hear any opinions on what would be a good buy and if I should wait until the price comes down. Many thanks for answers but please don't say get a gaming desktop. Why doesn't my laptop access Word?

I have a Lenovo Ideapad 100S.

I used to be able to open, edit, save and create word documents on it and I did not need to sign into Office to do it.
As of recent months I can't open any Documents I created on Word 2010 and I keep getting a message that "Microsoft starter does not work on this version of windows."
I get the feeling that something was changed on my laptop that I did not change myself.
Anyone know what happened? It seems that Microsoft word 2010 hardly works on any computer that I tried. Is it some change in the entire system?

Anyone know how I can install Word 2010 without paying for it? I keep getting messages that I have to pay to get Word again.
