My laptop is broken on the hinge or side and cracked open? How do i fix it?

I don't know what that particular part of the laptop is actually called, it's either the hinge or it's on the right side on the area where you close the laptop it would crack open, this always happens to my laptops. How do i fix it? It's a Lenovo laptop. My laptop costs around $350-$400

Added (1). It cracks open when i fold it open. And it's on the right side, near the hinge…

Added (2). i think it could be a loose nail that came out… But how did that happen? Is there a way to fix myself?

What are some of the best laptops besides MacBook?

I currently own a 2010 MacBook Pro that has started to show temporary dead pixels on the screen and the configuration is probably outdated or will be in the next couple of years. I also have no idea how long the laptop is going to last.

I guess I bought this for $1400 at the time and do not wish to spend so much of money again on a laptop.
What are some of the alternatives?

Added (1). Btw, I use my laptop only for listening to music, watching movies, surfing the internet, and occasional photo and video editing.

$110 to fix Lenovo backlight keyboard: worth it or not?

I have a Lenovo flex 3 with a Core i7 and I accidentally spilled some drinks on it and the backlighting died but the keyboard still types properly.

The problem is I will need to get the whole keyboard panel replaced if I want backlighting again and it cost $110.

Is it worth it in your opinion?

Has this type of laptop come out yet?

Imagine a MacBook Pro with a digital keyboard, with the touch bar and track pad that can use Apple Pencil. This would also come with a foldable touch screen. So the whole thing would be user friendly and digital.

Windows 10 Laptop Screen Flickering on startup?

My laptops a lenovo ideapad Y700 and comes with windows 10, so naturally this problem was not there when i girst used the laptop, however after about a month of usage i updated my laptop before shutdown (those common windows updates) but when i started it up and logged in to my desktop my desktop starts flickering and this goes on. I have already tried things like opening Ms Config and disabling problem reportd service and windows error message that didn't work so i reformatted my laptop after which it worked, but another month ahead and i'm have the same problem.
