How to root Android 4.2.2?

I was just bought today a Lenovo tablet with Android 4.2.2. This is my first time with Android (I'm a huge apple lover) and I know NOTHING about it. I want to delete some apps and I need to root it. How do I do this? Explain everything please.

Recommend an older model and/or refurbished Ultrabook?

My budget is about $700.

I don't need a touch screen, I don't need (nor want) Windows 8, and I don't need any tablet capabilities.
Just a super-light, well built machine that can handle VERY basic workload (Outlook, light Excel, internet surfing, etc.)
This is purely for work; anything entertainment related gets done on my IPAD.

What (I think) I need:

Core i5? (don't know if I can get away with an i3?)
Windows 7
minimum 4GBs of RAM?
256GB SSD
1080P resolution
Backlit keyboard

I was thinking of just trying to find a 2012 or 2013 model Lenovo, Acer or ASUS that is either still available new or is refurbished, on EBAY.

Any specific model recommendations, thoughts or guidance here is greatly appreciated.

Is the Lenovo Ideatab A1000 good for its price?

Is the Lenovo Ideatab A1000 good for its price?

Added (1). I just want a tablet that's easy to carry around for reading ebooks and surfing the net. Will it do the job? I've read many reviews that said that it doesn't last long and will spend more time in repair. Is that the case for those who have it in the Philippines?

Will a Bamboo Create Tablet Work on a Lenovo Ideapad?

I have been interested on buying a laptop for some time now. All I have really wanted to do was use if for basic internet, and download an art software I have onto it so I could use my Bamboo Create Tablet and continue with my art. I already use my tablet on my desktop, a computer I had put together with custom parts and it runs on Windows 8. My Tablet works fine on there. I have been considering this laptop- The Lenovo IdeaPad G505s, Its got more or less everything I want and or need,

But I looked at the reviews on Newegg and found a review that said the Wacom bamboo tablet would not work on the computer. I'm not so sure if it was a newer version of the tablet, or if any of the tablets would not work. I would really like to know, being able to use my tablet on this computer is a big deal for me, so if any of you have any input I would be really appreciative!

Any good tablet laptops like the surface pro?

Sorry if I'm being too specific, but I'm looking for a 2 in 1 laptop like the surface pro 3, but a bit cheaper. I'd like a laptop that can disconnect the screen as a tablet, has a flat 10-13 inch screen, flat keyboard, has a good processor, at least 4 gigs of ram (if there aren't any with 4gigs, then id be okay with 2 gig as long as the processor can handle the computer okay). I'd also like the laptop to have at least 256 at least (again i'm okay with at least 128, as long as it is micro sd compatible) and like the surface pro 3, it would be nice to be able to have a tablet kick stand and be able to bend the screen like the surface pro 3.i'd also like windows 8 installed. Again i'm sorry if i'm being to specific. I mean, I want to get the surface pro or the r7 by acer, but the problem is they are a bit too expensive.

Which is the better tablet?

Asus Tranformers prime or a Lenovo yoga 10?

I'm not good with specs, so I wanted your opinions.
