If possible, does anyone know how to get rid of admin on a school laptop?

My school requires you to buy a laptop they chose when you're in year 7 and year 10, both are different each time and cost to around $1000 or more. The school, obviously, decided to put admin privileges so the laptops are restricted only for work. You can't even change the wallpaper. I understand the laptops are expensive and the latest of their type but it's a let down if you're a person who's anticipating a new laptop only to discover you can do close to nothing on it. I'm just asking, if possible, how to get rid of admin on a Lenovo running Windows 8.1. Thanks in advance if anyone replies.

Added (1). Well, my school's got all the students asking many questions like that about the sort of weird and unnecessary rules a school would have. I'll keep looking around for other solutions and keep the system wipe and hard drive swap as a last resort.

Programming Laptop: Lenovo VS ASUS?

I'm heading off to college in a few weeks for Computer Science and am in need of a new laptop. After researching, I'm looking between a Lenovo (possibly a ThinkPad) or an ASUS. I will mostly be using this for programming, with also some gaming as well.

What are the pros & cons of getting one over the other? And which would you recommend?

My laptop is super slow for no reason?

Okay so my mom bought herself a laptop from Amazon. It's a Lenovo/Windows. As soon as she took it out of the box and made an account and all. It was super slow. She ordered a new one… And have me this one. I you want to use it, just to look up something it takes about 20 minutes to load! I've deleted some apps so it ll go faster but I don't know what else to do. Is there something I could buy/ download?

Lenovo ideapad p580 black screen?

Ok so I have a lenovo ideapad p580 laptop and half of the times I turn it on, I get a black screen after going through the main menu. Sometimes I can see the cursor, sometimes not. And when I say main menu, I mean choosing my profile at the beginning when you barely turn on the computer.

I have read a "solution" online but the links and all information provided there seems to be outdated. The person had the same problem as I do now 4 years ago.

Anyone know the solution to this problem?
It really annoys me when I have to force turn off the computer and turn it back on for it to work properly.

Laptop keeps shutting off?

Recently, my Windows Lenovo laptop keeps just shutting off, no warning, and it doesn't come back on. Sometimes when I turn it back on it says something about damaged diskettes? Now it's become more frequent, to the point where it just shuts off almost immediately.

I don't think it's a heating issues, though other than that, I have no idea.

Added (1). Edit: it appears to be working in safe mode?

Added (2). Oh wait, safe mode is a no. Whoops.

A good laptop for college? - 1

I'm starting college in a few months and I need a good but affordable laptop (up to 1000). I've been considering the Lenovo Yoga 3 but i'm not sure whether it's a good choice. Any suggestion?
