Every time I enter my password into Windows it loads forever and doesn't log on. Prior to this I did download a pirated software (yes I know I shouldn t have done this). I've tried turning off the computer and trying again multiple times. Is there anything I can do to log on without the computer freezing? I'm running a Lenovo ideapad i7 Windows 8 64bit.
I have a built in webcam (laptop) but recently, I tried to use the webcam and realized the shortcut was gone, I checked the webcam folder, which I never even open (I use webcam via task bar shortcut) and it's empty but then I open skype and it works perfectly so why doesn't it run as it used to? I need skype to use the webcam and I didn't need it before so why now?

It's only been 3 months so its very new still. No damages what so ever ever.

Hi, I have been experiencing some problems with my (brand new) Lenovo Ideapad. I have had it for just over a month. When I switch it on, the normal Windows 8 login screen is replaced with vertical lines which take up the whole of the screen. I can't fix the laptop, because it won't display anything for me to see what is going on. (Obviously I'm typing this from another computer!) Just wondering if anyone knows if it is a hardware or a software issue and how to fix it.

I need to do a hard reset on my Lenovo IdeaPad. I've been searching up answers and found helpful articles but none of them worked. I think the problem is that the laptop is secured under the DOE (Department of Education). For anyone concerned, I did not steal or had someone steal the laptop for me from any school. A family member worked at a school here in New York and was given the laptop since it's pretty old. Is there any way to reset the laptop to factory settings so there isn't any DOE security on it anymore?
In looking for a good laptop for 600 dollars. I mainly want to play minecraft and minecraft mod packs with no lag problems, and also maybe some games on steam like Skyrim and such. I was looking at the Lenovo y40 but I was some reviews on minecraft on it and how people get only get a ma of 20 fps for some reason on it.
I'm using a lenovo laptop with windows 8.1, the problem is whenever I use my laptop at my office it works perfectly fine but when I connect the laptop to the Wi-Fi at my house it does not load any page instead shows an error, 500 internal privoxy error. It shows as connected but does not load anything. If somebody can help me with this it would be great.
My computer is saying that the internet connection is limited and it won't let me load any internet pages whatsoever. Other computers in the house are connecting to the Wi-Fi with no issue so what can I do to fix my computer's issue? The laptop is running windows 8 and this problem has been going on for 4 days now despite my best efforts, I'm pretty fed up so any suggestion is welcome.
