What's wrong with my laptop? - 2

Okay, so about a month ago I bought a Lenovo laptop. It's a gaming laptop and it was almost 1,000 dollars, so it obviously isn't a bad laptop. Anyways, about two weeks ago, it fell and the charger bent a little, but that's all that happened. The charger kept working, my laptop kept working. Yesterday, I downloaded a game, and today I downloaded a game. The game worked perfectly yesterday, no crashing nor lagging. I had plenty of space left so that wasn't the case. Anyways, I downloaded the second game today, and 5 minutes in, it crashed my computer. I would turn it on, but when I logged on, it would crash within 30 seconds. Soon, it wouldn't even start. My dad said it was my fault because of when I dropped the computer three weeks ago, but I didn't believe that. It had been working perfectly since then. However, I had been getting pop ups with adds, so I may have accidently installed some malware or something before, but I don't know. Anyways, it's working now, but I don't know if the drop caused it to stop working or the game, or the malware thing. Again, the drop only affected the charger which still works. Also ** Do you think I can still download games on Steam, or is that too risky?**

Best gaming laptop for the money?

I'm looking to get a new laptop to replace my macbook. I need it for my classes, but I also like gaming so I would like something with good gaming capabilities. What are the best laptops for around a $1000 (can be slightly higher). I don't like Dell so don't recommend one.

How to restore Lenovo Thinkpad to factory setttings?

My hard drive failed (Error 2100, main HDD) and the F11 key for restoring won't work. It just sends me back to the options menu after trying to restore. Can I restore or just wipe my computer back to factory settings from the startup? I'm very frustrated, I'd like to recover everything on my HDD, but if I can't, I just need to reset everything so I can use a computer again. What can I do?

WatchDog program from Lenovo seller?

Its seems like there's a program on my computer that called WatchDog, quick google saying its a spy and restriction program, I'm not sure if its accualy is, but my computer crashed earlier today saying: DPC_WatchDog_violation, I bought my laptop from legit Lenovo seller, before taking the laptop with me the sellers told me that some softwares needs to be installed (eg: word, painter, windows media player, etc) and that it would take half an hour, can its really be that they put this program on my laptop? How can I check if its accualy on my laptop?

What kind of laptop should I buy? - 1

I'm a junior high school student whose laptop since 6th grade just broke down. I have never owned another laptop and neither has anyone in my household, so I know nothing about them. I need something thats not too bulky but will last me through college.

What I'm looking for is a laptop that has/is:

-A LOT of storage for pictures
-Good with downloading things from the internet like games/documents/photos
-Runs aforementioned games really well (I use Steam a lot for my games and other times I don't, I want something that won't lag)
-Great with loading and running youtube videos or extraneous links to videos like for movies or tv shows and stuff
-Can run Mozilla AND Chrome
-Can easily run two programs at once but above all SKYPE. I live on Skype I need a laptop that won't give me problems so therefore has a decent camera and a GOOD built-in mic.
-If at all possible I'd like a CD drive but USB plugs are a must
-DOES NOT HAVE WINDOWS 8
-Is not a Toshiba or Lenovo
-Preferably under $400 please? My budget is around $450 and I have a little extra if I need to but I'd really like to spend as little as possible.

It's really specific I know I'm sorry if this is nearly impossible to find but any credible or valid answers would help in my search, thank you so much!
