HP pavilion 11 360x or Lenovo?

Following are the details for each laptop. I'm looking for a new laptop for college but I'm VERY tight on the budget. These two laptops are within my range. They don't have the fanciest processors but I can't afford the others.

HP pavilion 11 360x:
Yoga laptop, rotates 360 degrees (pretty fancy), 11.5" touch screen
Intel pentium processor
500 GB drive
4 GB

Lenovo:
15.6" screen
AMD A6
1 TB hard drive
4 GB
DVD drive

Everything is comprisable (eg hard drive, battery life) except for the processor. I want to make sure that the processor is good enough for multi tasking, photo editing softwares, youtubing etc. I don't play much games.

Please help me out here. I'm very confused and I have to decide in the next couple hours.

My internet is not working. Apparently DNS Lookup failed?

So I've been having this problem for a while now. Every time I try and use the internet on Chrome or IE the page won't load and I'm redirected to a blank screen with this message:

'DNS Lookup for "www.searchpage.com" failed. The requested name is valid, but no data of the requested type was found'

Which means I can't use the internet on my laptop (Lenovo, if it's relevant). I've looked elsewhere on the web and been told it's a problem with the proxy server (?) but when I followed the instructions which told me to untick a certain box my problem remained.

I know very little about how software and the Internet works so I basically just need some clear instructions rather than any explanations in order to help solve this.

Do i need to buy windows 8?

As of yesterday my lenovo laptop will not start and instead says that a "boot configuration data file is missing" on a blue screen. The laptop came with windows 8 so I don't have any installation disks but I was told I could fix this just by buying a new installation disk. Is this true?

BEST computer for playing The Sims 3 & 4?

I have been playing the sims 3 on a lenovo because that's all I have been able to afford and the graphics are really poor. I'm saving up and would like to buy a computer or laptop that'd play the Sims flawlessly and the graphics are at its best. I'm looking for something below the 400 range but if you recommend a computer more than that I'll have to save up a little more. It gets old trying to play the sims when your laptop graphics make it hard to enjoy the full extent of the game and lags, but anyways also I haven't bought sims 4 yet because I want to be able to actually play it without graphics looking bad and all that.

Any suggestions?

Which Laptop to buy? AMD dual or AMD quad?

I'm buying a laptop, and as a student I will only use it for browsing the web and microsoft office and watching films etc. I don't need it for anything too heavy like gaming etc. I have my eyes on the Lenovo G505 4GB RAM but I can either buy it with an AMD E1-2100 dual core processor or an AMD A4-5000M Quad Core Processor? There's a difference of £80 in price, I can afford it but would it be a waste? I mean would I use it that much? I just need to know please! And btw the Dual Core comes with 4GB DDR3 RAM whereas the Quad Core comes with 4GB RAM only if that makes a difference? And if you could find any other laptops that you think would suit me? My max price is like £250.

Can I upgrade my laptop's parts?

Hi, i have a lenovo g505s with a 1.9ghz amd quad core and a hd radeon graphics card, i wanted to know if i'd be able to upgrade them both

What's wrong with my my laptop speakers?

I have a Lenovo Thinkpad, it's a little less than a year old but it's been doing this since I first got it (I haven't bothered seeing what the issue is but it's started to bug me): they are fully capable of being really nice, quality speakers, but more often than not, they switch to this weird, canned, cell-phone-esque quality. Like I'll be playing music and it'll sound really great but in a split second it'll become horrible cell phone quality. Like I said, it's been doing this since I got it and haven't cared til recently, but I just don't know what to do about it or even why it's happening at all. Anyone know?
