Give me a laptop recommendation?

I'm currently a computer science student. I need a laptop that:
- is durable/ doesn't break easily
- great resolution
- easy to program on
- has great pixelation so that I can watch movies and look at photos
- also has great sound quality
- great for note taking
- 6+ hours of battery life

I don't care much for speed, though it is semi-important. My budget is under $1000, and I'm leaning towards getting something that's refurbished.

Right now I'm leaning towards a Macbook or a Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro, more so the lenovo.

I like that the Macbook has great durability, it could link with my iPhone, and it has a long battery life, but I don't really like it's OS… Plus I'm in college and most people are willing to steal a Macbook.
I'm leaning more towards the Lenovo because I LOVE the versatility/how it can go from a laptop to a tablet. I'm also familiar with windows and it's programs. But reading up on reviews, I hear that people had a problem with it's resolution because not a lot of software is up to date with it.

Yea so I'm torn between the two… Advice?

How to load Windows 8 into my brand new Lenovo laptop?

I got a Lenovo Ideapad GS510p. It's brand new and in a factory working state. No OS is installed. They have, however given a CD that allows me to install Windows 8.

To get it to start though, I must make the computer boot from CD drive. I pressed the NOVO button and managed to select the Boot from CD option in the boot menu but after I select the option the same screen as before comes.

It's a sort of DOS screen that tells me the date and asks me to enter the current date (which happens to be the same). So, I just click enter. And, then another line comes telling me the time and asks me to enter the current time. It's the same again so I just hit enter. After that. ;/" appears and every time I hit enter andother one of those appears.

I don't know how to get out of this screen and let it boot from disk. Can anyone please help me how to boot it from disk and load the OPerating System?

Is the Lenovo IdeaPad y510p (Core i5,8gb ram,1tb hdd,2gb nvidia 750m) worth buying?

I've seen many user reviews about it saying that it has *Wi-Fi disconnection issues, *Screen Flickering problems, *SLI problems, *battery drainage issues, *overheating.

I really like this laptop as I'm into gaming and office work. And the specs are awesome, and I WON't BE GETTING A LAPTOP in the NEXT 5 YEARS or so. Thats why i needed something permanent and long Lasting.
I became disapproved by seeing the reviews, but still I look forward to it.

Give me some laptop suggestions?

I'm a college student, just switched my major to computer science with a minor in business. I need a new laptop As soon as possible. Most likely I'll be programming, surfing the internet, watching shows/movies, taking notes, uploading pictures, and maybe going on webcam.
I need a computer with a great resolution, is very versatile, and is VERY durable/has a great and not cheap build. Speed is semi-important - as long as it isn't VERY slow.
I'm interested in a few laptops:
1. Macbook Air Core i5 1.7GHz 4GB RAM 128GB 13"

2. MacBook Pro 13" 2.4 GHz
http://m.bestbuy.com/...oduct+view (sorry it's on mobile)

3. Lenovo Yoga 2 13 (I'm also highly considering the Yoga 2 Pro)

Or are there any other suggestions?

Ho to turn on Lenovo Fingerprint Reader without loging in as Admin?

Hi. I have a Lenovo B Series laptops Lenovo B570 Notebook and I can't get into it. I reset the password but figured I'd never need to use it since I had the fingerprint reader. Now I can't get into it because I can't remember the password and the fingerprint reader option doesn't come up when logging on.

I'm looking into buying a high performance laptop for college?

I'd like it to be fast on the internet.
Play a lot of minecraft.
I'd also be emailing and document/presentation work.

I was thinking of a gaming laptop, would there be any downsides, besides price? Could you also recommend some options, thanks!
