Can I watch BBC One with the app FilmOnTV installed on my new laptop?

I recently purchased a Lenovo computer (the OS is Windows 8), and there are a fews apps already installed, including one called FilmOnTV. There are dozens of channels, some with a little "Free" icon on top.
I would like invite a friend over to watch the new Doctor Who episode that will air on Saturday on BBCOne, but since this channel doesn't seem to be "Free", I'm afraid that it will stop in the middle of the episode and ask me to pay to see more. (That would be embarrassing, since I can't afford it.)
If you have any info on the lenght of time during which I can watch a channel that is not "Free", that'd be great!

Lenovo Hard Disk Partition?

I have purchased a Lenovo Z510 laptop and it comes with just two partitions- C drive(about 900 GB) and D drive(or recovery drive with about 25 GB). I want to partition my C drive into two drives. Can anyone tell me if this partitioning will in any way cause One Key Recovery of Lenovo to not work?
The laptop comes pre-installed with Windows 8.1.
And also if I partition the C drive, and after some time, due to some reason, need to use the OKR, will the laptop just have the two drives( C drive and D drive) or will it have the new drives(which I created in the partitioning)?

What's the lenovo g5070 6gb ram laptop's graphics card?

I found this really cool laptop on xcite.com which is my countries electronic shop, but for some reason its not telling me its graphics card?

My laptop both does and doesn't recognize the battery? Is this a bad sign?

I have a Lenovo X230T with Windows 7 Pro. Recently, the laptop quit recognizing the battery. The battery is working fine, but the battery icon is blank and when I point my mouse over it, I see "battery not installed." It says this whether the laptop is plugged in or unplugged. I've tried messing with the battery settings to no avail. Is this a bad sign that more things will start going wrong soon? I was hoping to wait for Windows 9 before buying another laptop.

Best gaming laptop? (details below)?

I'm gonna get a new laptop soon and I want one that really runs 3D style games well as well as older ones. I don't know which to choose and there's so many decisions. I need help choosing one that's right for me. I definitely want one that will be able to run The Sims 4.

-Lasts a long time

-Around $300

-Good battery life

-Mac or Windows? (I really can't decide which to ask for… I've used Windows all my life but I want try a Mac but then my stepdad can't work on apple laptops like he can with windows when something is wrong.)

-Lenovo, acer, HP, Dell, etc.

-How big of a screen, tablet style or not, etc.

-Which version of WIndows or which version of Mac?

If anybody has any recommendations I'd really appreciate it!

I just want a professional comparison?

So i'm about to get a new PC and was just curious how big of an upgrade would it be. The old PC i had is a

lenovo ideapad z565
-AMD Phenom(tm)II N930 quadcore 2.00 GHz
-4,00 BG ram
-win7
and if i'm not mistaken graphic card is - ATI mobility Radeon HD 5400 series

and the PC i'm about to get is a Lenovo IdeaPad G505s

(just copied this) - AMD Quad Core A8-4500M, 15.6" LED 1366x768, RAM 8GB, AMD Radeon HD 7640G + AMD Radeon R5 M230 2GB, HDD 1TB 5400 rpm
- Windows 8.1 64-bit

So those are the two PC's. I'm not really good at distinguishing these parts, so i figured an experienced person might tell me.

I want to know how big of a change is it gonna be, maybe tell it in PC video games.

Should i get this laptop?

Lenovo U510-7210US Optical drive swap for an HDD/SSD Caddy?

I'm plannign on buying this laptop model soon and have was just wondering if I would be able to swap the optical drive for an HDD/SSD caddy without any problems. I know this is possible, but my only concern is that the hard drive is 1 TB and the laptop also has a 24GB mSATA SDD slot. Since I'm probably going to never use the DVD drive, would swapping for the caddy cause any problems considering I would already have a hard drive AND a mSATA solid state drive?
