I've been looking around on websites and that for a "gaming laptop" that is under £400 and I have been having difficulty finding one. To be very honest, I understand that at that price the chances of me finding one is very slim. However, I'm not a hard-core gamer and so the laptop does not need to be amazing or anything. I'm just looking for something that can handle games like: tera rising, age of wushu, never winter, guild wars e.t.c Nothing too hardcore really.
Anyway, in my search I have found 2 latops one that is below my budget and one that is above. I would like to see your opinion on these 2 laptops, and whether or not they are good. P.s: please don't laugh my computer knowledge is very bad so umm yaaaa!

I'm going to be a freshmen in college next year and I'm going to need to get a laptop. I'm majoring in computer science. I want a good computer where I can get work done. I also like to play games like MMOs, civilization 5, and ages of empires. Any recommendations of computers that are good for work and also gaming?
Since I bought my Lenovo laptop, I've been having the 'limited access' internet status intermittently. Every few minutes, I have to disconnect and reconnect from my network, which always resolves the issue, but I have to do this constantly and it's incredibly annoying and inconvenient. No other computer in my house has this problem. What's the deal?
I bought a new laptop (a Lenovo V570) with Windows 7 home basic installed to be used as a server, however, the laptop shuts down after being idle for 3-5 hours.
I changed the power management settings so that the computer never sleeps, but it still hibernated itself.
I read a lot of questions about this issue and most of them seemed to be related to overheating, so I tried using a cooling pad with the computer to see if it wouldn't sleep. So far none of these ideas have worked.
I left it on overnight and then read the Windows event logs the next morning. The sleep event log said: "The system is entering sleep. Sleep Reason: System Idle."
Is there a way to stop the system from sleeping after idling for a certain amount of time?
I have a Lenovo IdeaPad Z570 and want to completely delete everything except windows. The CD drive doesn't work and the Lenovo OneKey Recovery doesn't work either. I've tried to boot a system repair from USB but I only get options for system restore and various other useless things. Does anyone know a way in which I can erase everything except windows?

Few days ago my laptop was constantly telling me that my hard drive may be failing and that I should backup my data. Fortunately i did back up all my important files to my external HDD and now, the OS installed (Win7) doesn't boot up anymore. Also, when I checked the BIOS, it says my internal HDD is "[Not Detected]" anymore. I'd like to buy a new replacement HDD for my Lenovo G560 but I fear I may not find an internal HDD very similar to what it has now. It is a Western Digital Scorpio Blue HDD model WD3200BPVT. Please help. To any computer experts out there. I really need to get this fixed as soon as possible.
I'm going to college next year for computer science, and I figure it's time I retire my five year old MacBook pro and upgrade to a new Windows computer so I can have all my programs interface nicely with the school's network and what-have you.
I've been looking around for weeks and I honestly can't decide on what laptop to get. I'm looking for something that's at least semi-portable and won't be a loud, obnoxious, space-hog during lecture, but also something that can turn into a gaming machine when I need it to. My price range is $1,500, and in that I've found a few laptops I like:
1. MSI Apache Pro-003
2. MSI DominatorPro-424
3. Sager NP8268
4. Lenovo y510P
I'm relatively new to PC gaming, so I don't know much, and I was wondering if anyone could offer some insight into what kind of laptop would be powerful enough to play new games on at least high settings but would also be portable enough to take to classes. I'm aiming for a 15 inch laptop (my MacBook is a 13" model and I've grown quite fond of screen sizes in its general area.)
One day i suddenly opened my laptop and all the sound was gone checked if it was on mute wasn't went to device manager nothing… Please help me can't listen to music or watch any movies.
