Doubt about laptop keyboard data connector?

I recently bought a replacement for my Lenovo IdeaPad v570 keyboard because I spilled some water and several keys won't work.
When I tried to replace it I noticed that the replacement data connector (some people call it ribbon cable) didn't have some sort of blue thicker part at the end (kind of a tape) that the original had, so when you attach it it stays firmly attached.

Is there any solution?

How good can my Lenovo S410P perform? (4th gen i7, 4gb ddr3 ram, Nvidia GT420M)?

I'm considering to buy the Lenovo S410P but I'm a gamer and I wonder can I play games on the laptop with these specs? I'm not that picky at graphics but I want to at least know how far can it go. Can any computer expert just briefly explain to me what should I expect out of my machine? Can it run bf3 or crysis normally? (not necessarily ultra settings) Please and thank you.

What is wrong with my laptop?

I'm currently using a Windows 7 Lenovo and I'm afraid of what's happening to it.

I'm not sure if this is because of the internet, but chrome itself is very slow. I have to wait for a long time for that new tab to actually open when I click it. The buttons in a lot of websites are not responding (it says I clicked it, but nothing happens). It lags when I scroll down, and the words I'm typing are lagging behind.

I was even more scared when I realized my laptop was slow. I move my mouse around my desktop and the square highlights of each icon is struggling to keep up with my mouse. When I play a video, it takes a long time to process and lags. The audio comes out in a laggy, static effect. Programs take some time to open, and when I refresh my desktop, it freezes for a couple of seconds before coming back. (Even my games have lag and terrible audio)

And to think yesterday, everything was working well, fast, and normal.

I don't think this is because of my memory, because the amount I have used up is less than half.

If possible, please don't let me download anything, but if you insist, then I'll give it a try.

Thank you for reading this, and please answer. The first method to work will be chosen as best answer.

Lenovo y40 or Lenovo y410p?

I'm in need of a new laptop and I was wondering if I should buy the y410p or wait for y40 to come out? Any thoughts?

How to changed my boot settings back in msconfig?

Now i keep getting blue screen error messages. I know what the problem is I just can't get to where I can fix it. Before my last restart I changed my boot cpu's from 1 to 8. Now i can't get back in to change it back. Safe mode gets error messages to. I can get to the comand prompt but for the love of god I can't get msconfig to load. If i can get msconfig to work i'm golden.
If it helps the laptop is a lenovo w510 with an i7 720

Advice for someone who just bought a new laptop?

I just got a lenovo S410p, and have no idea how to get started. I installed windows 8, and Microsoft office. My questions are:
1. Advice for new laptop? How to take care of it? What do's and what don't's?
2. What software should buy next?

Internet works on phone but not laptop?

Okay so here's exactly what happened:
My mother had told my brother and I to turn off the Internet router because someone was accessing our network and she wanted them to stop so they couldn't access our stuff.
I said: "don't do that-- I can change our password."
So after a few minutes of research I figured out how to change it.
I went on the site Netgear told me to, entered in my information, changed my password, and as it said it would, Internet disconnected from all devices. I logged back in on my phone with the new password-- it's perfect. Smooth as hot butter. But my computer for some reason will not let me enter in the new security code. It's a Lenovo-- it runs on windows, I don't know what version, but every time I click "connect," it just asks me to troubleshoot, I troubleshoot, then it tells me windows can't solve my problem. I just need to get to where I can enter a password-- I know what's wrong but the computer can't seem to figure it out.
I've turned my router off and on,
I've turned my computer off and on,
I've clicked "disconnect," or "cancel," when it couldn't figure out what was wrong and I couldn't access Internet, I'm out of ideas.
Can someone please help me?
