What's the proper way to plug/unplug a laptop?

My plugs always sparked or zapped when plugging them in the wall, or extention cord to charge my laptop (Lenovo ThinkPad T410) I've used the manufacturer AC Adapter with cord, as well as a generic one. I've tried plugging and unplugging both ways. I've fried 2 cords so far. Is there a proper way to unplug/plug an AC Adapter with cord for a laptop? I don't want to keep buying new cords, etc.

Should I get a Dell or Lenovo?

I'm stuck between a Lenovo Ideapad 510 and a Dell Inspiron 5000 gaming laptop. I'm not a heavy gamer, but I do some, and this Dell was the only model I could find that has what I need. Both laptops pretty similar specs, but for my job I'd have to spend extra on the Dell to buy an external cd/dvd player and external VGA port. I plan on also using Microsoft Office heavily, along with some basic video and photo editing, and would have a lot of programs to install.

The Lenovo already has the DVD player and VGA port and everything I would need, so no need to buy extra equipment. My main concern is that reviews say the casing is a cheaper plastic and I don't know how durable it is. The last thing I need is for my cat to knock over a book or something and break the casing. I can't try it out in person because every store I've looked at was either sold out or not carrying it, and would have to order it for me. The Dell Inspiron seemed pretty sturdy when I tried it out at a store, but I probably wouldn't need the level of gaming it was designed for.

Is there anyone with some experience with Lenovo, or with this Dell that could help me decide?

Which laptop is better?

I'd like to buy a laptop and use it for playing Minecraft/League of Legends, watch movies and buy music (iTunes)… And maybe use Sony Vegas 12?
I have these options:

Acer, Student Laptop
Processor: Intel Core i3 4600 MHz
RAM: 4GB DDR3
HARD DISK: 320GB SATA (I don't really know what it means)
Optical Device: DVD-RW
Display: LCD - Crystal Image

Acer, Optim Laptop
Processor: Intel Core i5 6400 MHz
RAM: 4GB DDR3
Hard Disk: 3200GB SATA
Optical Device: DVD-RW
Display: LCD - Cristal Image

HP, Laptop Core i3, Intel
Processor: 2.4GHz
RAM: 4GB DDR3
Hard Disk: 320/500 GB
DVD-Rw

HP, Laptop i5
Processor: 2.4Ghz
RAM: 4GB DDR3
Hard Disk: 500GB/1T
DVD-Rw

Laptop ASUS Max
Processor: Intel Dual Core max 4.8 GHz (2 x max 2.4GHz)
Chipset video Intel HD
RAM: 4GB DDR3 1600Mhz, HDD 500GB, DVD-RW

Netbook Lenovo Advanced
LED-Backlight
Processor: Intel N3350, 4.8 GHz max (2 x 2.4GHz max)
Intel HD
RAM: 4GB DDR3 1600MHz
HDD 1TB

I could buy a PC as well… But I think it's worthless because I don't see myself playing video games in the future (1/2, 1 year)

Which would you buy? Also, I had an HP laptop, it had a 2GHz processor and 4GB RAM and it worked very well, I mean very, very well, but it started to be loud and slower… I heard it's a HP thing, is it true?

FPS drops in new laptop?

I purchased Lenovo Legion Y720 a week ago. For 2-3 days all games worked pretty good i used to get 60 fps in High settings in games like GTA 5, Mafia 3 and warframe. But now i'm getting like 15-20 fps. Things i treid:
Updated my drivers, Reinstalled Geforce experience nothing worked. I found that dxdiag command could not identify my total size of GPU. Check the screenshot maybe you will understand. FPS drops in new laptop

Which laptop should I buy for heavy Internet usage (multiple eBay tabs)? Price range: upto £300 (pre-owned)

I'm looking at a price range of upto £300 (pre-owned) and have narrowed my search down to: Lenovo ThinkPad T420 (INTEL CORE i7 2nd GEN, 2.8GHz, 8GB MEMORY, 256GB SOLID STATE HARD DRIVE, NVIDIA OPTIMUS SWITCHABLE GRAPHICS 1600 X 900, WINDOWS 7 PRO 64 BIT, NEW 9 CELL BATTERY) or Dell Latitude e6230 (INTEL CORE i7 3520M, 2.9GHZ, 8GB MEMORY, 128GB SSD HD, WINDOWS 10 PRO) or Dell Latitude 3470 (INTEL CORE i5 6200U, 2.3GHZ, 8GB MEMORY, 128GB SSD, WINDOWS 10). Please mention any others if they are better than these selections. I will only use it for internet (eBay, email) and Excel. Factors that are not important at all are: battery life, graphics, look, condition, webcam, fingerprint technology, etc (I don't need any bells and whistles over the important aspects to me - I do have a laptop for personal use). I don't mind what version of Windows but I mentioned in case it affects performance). Thank you very much. I did spend a lot of hours narrowing it down and reading about Intel Core's etc as I had zero knowledge of computers. Please don't worry about factoring in price of the three mentioned laptops.
