Which of these is the best laptop?

Currently a student and this'll probably be my main working laptop, I frequently do video and photo editing as well as some light gaming, I'm not looking at things exactly at a price-to-performance ratio as I know one of the two easily outbests the other, I'm looking at the practical side of things as I'll probably be using this for the next 3-4 years or so (Such as weight, durability, battery, longevity)

HP Pavilion 15-ak032tx
Processor: Intel Core i7 Skylake 6700HQ ( 2.6 - 3.5 Ghz )
Ram: 8 GB DDR4 Ram 2133Mhz
Storage: 1 Terabyte HDD
Graphic Card: Nvidia GTX 950M 2GB DDR5 Dedicated Videocard (gaming)
Screen size: 15.6 inch Full HD Matrix Display
USB 3.0, HDMI, Multi-Card Reader
Battery Life up to 4-5 Hrs
PROS: Good enough battery, practical/typical design, new processor architecture, 1080p (graphics card would use less power this way?)
CONS: Typical laptop doesn't exactly stand out, no SSD/SSHD

Lenovo Ideapad Y50-70
Processor: Intel Core i7 4720HQ Quadcore (2.6 - 3.4 Ghz)
Ram: 16 GB DDR3 Ram 1600Mhz
Storage: 1 Terabyte SSHD
Graphic Card: Nvidia GTX 960M 4GB DDR5
Screen size: 15 inch UHD / 4K IPS LED Display
Battery Life: up to 3 Hrs
PROS: High-end performance, amazing design, JBL speakers, SSHD,
CONS: Terrible battery, not so color-accurate screen, very old architecture, not suitable for use on the bed/foam surface, some negative reviews on notebookcheck and YT

Hoping someone could put their own opinions, everyone is entitled to their own ideas.

Why is my laptop so slow?

I have a lenovo y700 laptop with i7 processor, 256 ssd 1 tb memory, 16 gb ram. Sometimes the computer is really fast but most of the time it's incredibly slow. I open up an excel document and then a word document and the "not responding" comes up everytime and I restart my computer several times for about 45 minutes. I have had this computer for about 7 months. It use to run really fast all the time. I don't have much installed and I just ran an Avast scan and have no viruses.

Lenovo Laptop W 8.1 blank screen after log in with no Internet?

I have tried most of the troubleshooting fixes in the internet but can't find a solution. I don't have windows installation drive since the OS is preinstalled and I bought the laptop 2nd hand a year ago, and I don't have USB windows recovery drive. I don't have other computer to use.

Sfc scannow failed, chkdsk says no error, recovery partition has no recovery image folder, Explorer not working, no Internet, system restore fails, and lastly resetting needs windows installation etc

I hope there's a sensible user here who can genuinely help me here and not answer "u rekt lol throw that **** out" or anything like that. I need help to get it back to normal, please?

Message stating The User Profile Service service failed the sign-in. User profile can't be loaded when attempting to login

I have a Lenovo Ideapad Flex-4 (bought this January 2017, so fairly new device) & i have noticed that my laptop has been getting slower & slower in the past couple of days. It freezes up randomly & some programs that i use are "not responding" more frequently. Last night once I was done using my laptop I turned off my laptop & I forgot I had to send my mom a PDF file so I turned it back on & I had a black screen (w/a white movable curser only) for roughly 30 mins I thought my computer Was screwed at this point. Shortly after the 30 min wait, it finally opened up the screensaver to let me login to my user profile. I then input my password (which inputting each letter was awfully slow also). After it was loading for a good 10 mins, this message popped up "The User Profile Service service failed the sign-in. User profile can't be loaded" I'm ffreaking out! My mom just bought me this laptop as a gift & I hope its not screwed up for good because i'm literally in tears right now. Oh & also, I don't know if this may have anything to do with it (personally I don't think so because my laptop was already getting slower from start up as of yesterday but never not letting me login) but i did set a magnet on top of my laptop near the lower right corner (right of the touchpad & bottom right of keyboard) it wasn't a big magnet at all, I've just heared stories about magnets possibly messing up a laptop but i don't know if thats true. Anyways someone Please help me out! As soon as possible Please & Thank you!

My microphone isn't being recognized by my computer

I have a Neewer nw-700 and a lenovo ideapad 110 with windows 10. I connected the first xlr cable from my microphone to my phantom power box 48V with the input port, then another xlr cable from the phantom power box output to the 3.5mm cable to my computer, nothing comes up when I plug it in, and when i check the list of audio devices it doesn't come up and when i try to record nothing works. I plugged it into the headphone jack as there's no microphone jack, but when i plug in my headphones that come with a smaller microphone, it registers and i can use it as both headphones and a microphone, please help!
