Can I upgrade my RAM or graphics card?

I was wondering if I could upgrade my Lenovo Z50 laptop from 8gb of RAM to 16gb of RAM. It is around 3 months old and I was also wondering if I could upgrade my graphics card. If I can upgrade either what is the best parts to get?

Can't decide between two laptops, i'm not to familiar with the differences in processors?

Generally i thought that an i5 was better than an i3, but i'm unsure, which would be a better choice in laptop for basic use and maybe some gaming,

Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga, Intel Core I5-4200U 1.6GHz, 4GB RAM, 500GB HDD+16GB SSD, Windows 8.1 Pro

Or

Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga, Intel Core i3 5005U / 2 GHz, 4 GB RAM, 500 GB Hybrid Drive ( 16 GB SSD cache ) - Windows 8.1 Pro 64

The i5 is cheaper in price so i'm rather confused.

Audio jack on my laptop isn't working right. Do I need to replace it, or can I fix it somehow?

I have a Lenovo U410 (No touch screen) that runs Windows 8.1. I haven't swapped out any hardware, still using just the default specs. My problem seems to be either rare or unique, as I can't seem to find anything on it in the support section. Basically, I'm only getting part of the audio my computer is outputting through the jack. If I play music, it is horribly static-y and sounds echo-ey and far away. Playing games like Starbound, things that occur nearby the player are almost inaudible, while things that are almost offscreen are much louder. My guess is that I'm either only getting one channel of the audio or the bass frequencies are being lost. The only way I can hear it correctly is if I have it just barely plugged in, barely being defined as I'm holding it in at the point right before it pops out. I think that covers it, but I can provide more information if necessary.

Laptop suggestion for following requirement?

I5 intel core processor
Full HD 1920x1080 (15-17 inches)
128 gb SSD(minimum);
1 to 4tb HDD
4-8 gb ram

If possible suggest me out of this companies:
Asus, dell, lenovo, toshiba, sony, apple, hp
