I have an Emachines E625 with Windows 7 basic and I have a 15 Lenovo LCD Monitor connected through a VGA port.
The monitor works fine. Both the laptop and the monitor share the same screen once I press Fn+F5 which is to switch monitors
The thing is that I want to activate the multi screen mode but the laptop only detects one monitor instead of two.
any advice?
Added (1). MY laptop doesn't have an HDMI port. Just VGA.

I'm thinking of buying the laptop. It has a android operating system. And my main purpose is to make powerpoint presentations. I have chosen this model because it seems handy and can be used on the go. P.S: I'm not a very tech savvy person. Some help would be much appreciated.thanl you.

It works really good its just that lately the bottom gets really hot. The fan is clean i checked it i took the laptop appart and cleaned it and it continuets to get hot the fans never blocked it just gets hot for no reason and then eventually over heats and shuts off. My friend has the exact same laptop and it doesn't do that and hers is disty and the fans usually blocked off… What's wrong with mine. At the moment its on my lap and its really hot and i don't know why
I've been looking into lenovo, acers, asus, and dell but the best i could find was the GL551 jm from asus. So if anybody knows of anything else with better specs then the 551 please tell. I can only spent about a $1000 so keep that in mind when giving suggestions. Thank you all for the help (I don't want a desktop i already have one but i want a laptop for mobility and school)

Added (1). I want a laptop below 800 dollars, though ASUS, lenovo, surface pro are nice but a bit pricey. I brought a toshiba touch laptop one week ago but it has a bad Wi-Fi connection, so I returned it. I'm not sure if all toshiba are like that, It just might be my computer
I'm trying to play Gothic on my Lenovo laptop (with window's 8 installed). I bought Gothic 1,2, and 3 on steam and downloaded/installed the patch for Gothic 1. I'm not trying to install the player-kit and system pack to make it more compatible with my modern machine, but the install button is greyed out with no explanation, what the hell?!
I have even set Super fetch and all that kind of windows update to Manual. But it still running at high percentage WITHOUT Running ANYTHING.
