Why is my keyboard backlight flickering?

I have a Lenovo laptop that's about 5 or 6 months old. Recently, a backlight in the keyboard has been flickering. It only seems to be one because the rest of the keyboard is fine. I assume that the backlights are LED and I've heard that they take a while to burn out. The flickering does seems to stop after a few minutes, but it's quite annoying. Is there something I can do about this?

Should I buy a laptop with a better processor or a touchscreen and a better design?

I'm trying to decide if I should get the lenovo z50 or or the hp beats edition. Both have 8 gb of ram and a good enough display, but the lenovo has an i7 2.0 ghz processor while the hp has an a series a8 1.7 ghz processor. I'm gonna use it for school and some gaming (indie games, emulators, steam) but I want to know which would be better for me. To the hp's defense, I think touchscreen fits windows 8.1 much better, plus the laptop just looks awesome. Could you guys help?

Added (1). I'm aware that the price is a bit high, but when I look at all of the bad ratings for laptops of the same price (Lenovo Y50 for example), all I'm seeing are potential problems which will cause me to replace the device.

Recently purchased a cheap Lenovo thinkpad X200s as a cheap laptop to do work on and I also want to stream video and audio to a television however their is no hdmi port on this laptop to be able to do it this way, what other cable/method can I use to be able to do this thanks.

How to clean install windows 8.1 without the iso?

So I have a Lenovo y510p. I have windows 8.1 running but I'm sick of all the bloatware it comes with. I want to get rid of it all and start from scratch. Is their any way I can get a copy of windows 8.1 so I can start this process?

Why won't my laptop charge until shut down?

I have a Lenovo Y510P, the problem is wheneve the laptop is plugged in and charging and due to a power cut or if I remove the charger and plug the charger back in, it won't charge. What I have to do is, shut down/hibernate the laptop, remove the battery then turn off the charger and plug it in. If not done, it won't charge.
I've tried searching for service centers but none of them are within a 300 km/ 160 miles radius.
