When switched on lenovo logo appears and it freezes
when i press onn and off button continuosly and turn it on and off multiple times it is then that it turns on after about 30 mins. And then laptop functions properly
Fairly new laptop. Doesn't want to go into bluetooth settings. And right click on a file isn't showing send with bluetooth anymore
I purchased a new Lenovo G500s laptop in Jan 14. Yesterday, the battery went from 99% to 0% within a few minutes. When I put it to charging, the 0 doesn't go up while it does show charging. Should I get the battery repaired or have a new one?
If I get a new one, what will be its cost n should i get the battery of another company? Also, it has been only 1yr and a few days of purchase, so is the battery under warranty?
For college $500-$1k.

Ok, my laptop (Lenovo G500) just updated from Windows 8 to Windows 8.1. Now, after logging in, it then goes to a black screen with a box in the top right corner that says "Setting up personalized settings for: C:\\Windows\SysWOW64\Rundll32.exe
C:\\Windows\SysWOW64\msxories.dll.Install "
What on earth does this mean and how on earth can I just go back to it working?!
I can use ctrl alt delete to access the task manager and from there I can open programmes so I tried going into control panel and restoring windows to a previous restore point - no dice, apparently that function has been turned off the whole time I've had the laptop (thanks Microsoft, appreciate that one) so what are my options?
Also, I can't seem to use F1 or F12 or whatever the keys are to access boot menu etc when starting the laptop up, again apparently due to the nature of Windows 8.
Bought a Lenovo Flex 14 laptop a couple of years ago. When I got it, it was perfect for my needs. But now, I'm starting to need it for more demanding purposes (e.g photo and video editing) and I think I need an upgrade. I need a faster processor, a bigger and higher-resolution screen (the one on my current laptop is appalling). Also, I need a laptop that isn't slowed too much by lots of programmes and files. By that, I mean that my current laptop's hard drive isn't even half full and yet it's running pretty slowly.
A MacBook Pro seems like a good choice for me, but there's no chance in hell I can afford one anytime soon. As much as I'd like a switch from Windows, I realise that if I want comparable specs at a cheaper price, PC is the way to go.
Can anyone suggest any good quality, mid-high performance laptops which cost less than a MacBook pro? Thanks in advance.
(P.S Don't say MacBook Air. Screen isn't big enough and it doesn't have a built in disc drive. I wouldn't mind a PC without a built in disc drive as I already have an external one, but I'd rather not fork out £65 for an Apple one)
My lenovo g470 doesn't have genuine copy of win 7 so i decided to use loader but after it restarts it keeps on booting until lenovo logo repeatedly. I don't want to format my laptop cause i have important files that i would like to keep.
Ok. Obviously I wouldn't be asking this question if I haven't tried searching google for it.
So here are the walls that I've encountered:
- I can't access sethc.exe files and whatnot anymore because this exploit has been patched by the school ICT.
- Registry Editing has been blocked by the administrator
- Command prompt has been disabled by your administrator, and no, making new text files and typing command.com does not make me able to use the command prompt, but however, i seem to be able to write SIMPLE COMMANDS not those that enable me to get admin privileges such as "net user administrator"
Added (1). This laptop is a Lenovo X230, therefore, it does not have any CD slots whatsoever.
Added (2). Also, whenever I try to go into BIOS menu, seems like there's a password preventing me from accessing it.
Added (3). I'm not sure if this is supposed to happen, but after installing a bootable Kali Linux on my thumbdrive as well, my computer says USB not recognised.
Added (4). ^ I think that bootable USB's are blocked as well, either that or it could be my USB.
Okay I need a laptop for college this fall and I need somthing not to big but somthing where I can type papers up and also do some gaming on high to ultra settings. I do have a custom gaming rig I buitl. I need a laptop thought that is nice and portable. So which one is better Lenovo y50 or the Alienware 13? Also how good is the GTX 860m because thats what both of these have?

What's better? The guy at best buy said the Toshiba. The lenova is also Bluetooth compatible and has a dolby audio system and looks a lot cooler. I need the best processor at my budget for interactive courses online for school, either will do however I have Celeron now on my hp and often I need to "recover webpage"
