Lenovo laptop costco warranty. Who do i contact to get help, the manufacturer or costco?

I've had my lenovo laptop since November/ December and my house got robbed around February-March time. My laptop was left open on the floor and was stepped on halfway on the screen and halfway on the keyboard. I believe that it was damaged somehow at that time bu it wasn't apparent. During the past month, I started seeing screen problems and I wanted to see if I could get it fixed or refunded. But the thing is Costco only has a 90 day return policy for electronics. So even if i can't refund it should contact costco services or lenovo.

Which computer should I get for gaming purposes? Refurbished HP or new Lenovo? Links in update?

MY COMPUTER SCREEN DOESN't WORK?

My lenovo flex 3 was working fine until one day I tried turning it on in my bed and it turned on but the screen never did! They computer can and everything sounded like it normally does and even my keyboard light was on except my screen backlight never has. I tried disconnecting the internal battery and pressing the power button and it remained the same. I connected it to my tv and my tv acted like nothing was plugged up.

Blind Boot: Lenovo Z50-70 Startup Mode & Boot Order?

My lenovo laptop has a broken display screen, so I have been using it with an HDMI hookup for a while. I run on Windows 8.1 and I'd like to make the switch to a Linux distribution like I did with another device. I've already got a Bootable USB ready so all I need is to USB-Boot and I'll be good to install the distro. My problem is the Boot Mode and Order are currently set to Secure and HDD, and startup doesn't display on any screen other than the local laptop screen, and more than half of it is completely blacked out.
So my question is whether someone with the same model Lenovo could run me through a blind boot to change my Boot settings. I know how to get the boot menu started and all, so the only help I would need is from the menu until the final USB-Boot.
(A side note: I may have changed some settings trying on my own so far, but I'm not sure because I can't see what's been changed or not… So starting with the return to default settings might be helpful too.)
Thanks!

Added (1). Also also: For any Linux-savy people, I like running Mint, and I want to know if I'll be safe running that and displaying on two screens. I'm fairly new to Linux and my other Linux device doesn't have alt display ports, so not sure what the drivers allow for. I'll be able to see myself once the USB boot pans out, but it'll be good to know before I wipe Windows 8.1

Is replacing hdd with ssd worth it?

I have Lenovo B-50-80 laptop. It has i5 5th Gen (2.2 GHz) processor, 4GB RAM. I will upgrade my RAM to 8GB if replacing hdd with ssd is worth it. My laptop is too slow to even run chrome smoothly. I don't do gaming, but I have to do basic photoshop editing and adobe premiere pro editing or 1080p videos. What should I do?

Which laptop shpuld i buy?

I'm going to be studying comp sci and have found 2 potential laptops:

HP Envy x350 15-bp101na specs:
i7-8550U 8GB RAM (One 4GB stick is upgradable)
128GB SSD + 1TB HD
MX 150 4GB

Lenovo ideapad 720s (15) specs:
i5-7300HQ 8GB RAM (both sticks are upgradable)
512GB SSD
GTX 1050ti 2GB

Both are very similar in price. I'll be using it for assignments for comp sci, word processing etc. The HP is a 2-in-1 which I like, but the Lenovo has a nicer display in my opinion.
I'm not a gamer but every now and them will play one so graphics card isn't too important to me.

If the lenovo had the i7-8550u i would've ordered it straight away, its processer is 7th gen but is the HQ model (rather than the lower-powered U)
