How to use the webcam on my Lenovo W500?
My laptop has a built in webcam. Although I see the "Integrated Camera" program installed and in the list of Devices and Printers listed as "USB Composite Device", I can't open anything to take a picture.

I'm planning to buy a lenovo g50 which has 8gb ddr3 memory and an i7 processor to meet my needs. But what matters to me is reliability. All the toshibas I owned each had a problem. Dell and hp apprently have bad psus. Asus is good but I don't really like the brand. I don't know anything about lenovo but I can tell they sell semi high end products for a budget price. So I'm relying on you guys to help me with this because I'm not that familiar with lenovo.
Why people prefer Lenovo laptop more than any other one?
There's a few deals going on dell's, hp's, lenovo's, and asus' websites featuring sales for black friday. I've heard that some companies will sell lower-quality laptops specifically for black friday. I'm leaning more towards Lenovo right now, but does anyone know if those companies will make lower-quality laptops for black friday or not?
I'm looking to get the lenovo y50. It came out neat the beginning of 2014. I'm in canada and want the 4k model. Right now thats on sale for $1299. Its $300 off the original price of when the 4k launched. It has some bugs with scaling that i hate! But don't want to wait until march or longer of next year for another model and pay more (because its brand new) and have to wait longer for the 4k one. The bases of my question is, The y50 is on a black fryday sale right now, will it go down more on boxingday, christmas time, when?

Which laptop is good for gaming and performance? LENOVO Y-50 or ASUS ROG G551JM?
My screen cracked a while back and ever since it's been replaced, I haven't been able to adjust the brightness (manually or via the shortcut keys). Is there someway to fix this? Or did they give me a screen that can't be adjusted?
I did some googling and found some stuff talking about installing/uninstalling drivers? But I'm not computer savvy enough to figure this out beyond checking windows updates, which says everything is up to date.
I have a Lenovo ideapad S400 with Windows 8.
If it can't be fixed, is there a software I can install that can do the same thing? It's stuck on the brightest setting, making it kind of painful to look at at night.
Which laptop is better for gaming? ASUS G56JR or Lenovo Y-50 or Hp omen 15?
