One laptop won't connect to the network?

My sister's laptop will not connect to our home network, even though all of our other devices will. Or, more specifically, it will not connect to the internet. It works fine with a corded connection or when I use my phone as a wireless hotspot, but it still won't connect to our wireless home network. I've run the windows troubleshooter a couple of times and it keeps saying it has fixed the problem, but it never actually does. I've updated the adapter bios and still no avail, I've also cleaned the registry, updated the mobo bios, and am currently in the process of scanning for viruses. It has connected to the Wi-Fi in the past but my sister reports that it has stopped working the last week or so. It is a lenovo laptop around a year old running Windows 8.1. I swear, networking is my achilles heel. Any help you can give would be much appreciated!

Lenovo G400 Help Programming?

Hi, I'm in my first year of Application Development at college and I was wondering if anybody could tell me whether or not it matters that I have a Lenovo G400 since I will be programming a lot I presume. Or does the laptop type/brand even matter?

Laptop doesn't want to connect specific router?

I live in an apartment where they provide Wi-Fi, but I can't connect to the router. I turned on a hotspot and it does connect to the hotspot, but when I try to connect to the Wi-Fi it says "Windows is unable to connect to <insert name here>"

It's a Lenovo Z510, with windows 7 x64

Is a chromebook worth it?

I'm going to college next year, and a lot of people have mentioned how often they use their laptops in class. I have a Lenovo now, and adore it along with the windows system. I never really got along with MACs so I came to the problem of needing a small laptop for notes because I can't carry my heavy and large laptop around. Do you think a chrome book would work well for taking notes in a lecture/ which one would be best? If not what would be a good alternative? I'm really looking for something not very big, and not very expensive.

Why does my laptop speaker keep turning off?

I have a lenovo laptop, whenever i try listening to something or watching a movie/video the internal speaker turns off. The only way to get it to come back on is to pause the media and mute it then un-mute it and the sound comes back on for 1-5 minutes.
any ideas?

How to recover my Lenovo B570e Laptop?

Accidentally wiped my laptop (including recovery partition) whilst installing Ubuntu and now can't get intel hd 3000 drivers from intel or lenovo websites to install correctly. I have intel core i3-2328m cpu @2.2ghz 2.2ghz. Every time I install drivers, after restart, it says windows starting then it crashes. I get a message saying windows could not start, then it goes into startup repair which restores to before i installed the driver. I also used windows update which shows an update

Which also made it crash. There's a 4gb partition which may have my recovery media on it but i can't access it as its hidden.

Do I need to buy recovery media from lenovo. Just need drivers that work.
