Does the thinkpad T440p have optimus hybrid graphics?

I'm a high-school student and i'm looking for a laptop that can run both solid-works (around 100 part assemblies) and some light gaming. I've been eyeing the thinkpad T440p, but the NVIDIA GeForce GT 730m isn't built for CAD, the intel HD 4600 integrated is much more suited. I want to know if the T440p has hybrid graphics so i can use the HD 4600 for CAD and the GeForce for gaming.

on this site it says it does:

http://www.bhphotovideo.com/...ndows.html

but i can't seem to find the information on lenovo's page.

also, if it doesn't have hybrid graphics, i'm open for suggestions for other laptops. I want one that's around 1000-1300 dollars, 13.3-14 inch screen. And will hopefully last 4-5 years. Please. No macbook pros. Not that i have anything against apple, but 13 inch is too small and the 15 inch starts at 1999 dollars

Why my laptop shows green on blue ray player?

So I have a Sony Blue Ray 3D player that is connected to a Epson Home Cinema 730 HD projector. What I want to do is connect my Lenovo Thinkpad Edge through an HDMI Cord to the blue ray player. Everytime I do it comes up green and there's still sound. Now this HDMI cord works with everything else and my laptop has been able to go onto all different TVs through the same HDMI Cord. What I also found weird is that when I connected another laptop to the blue ray through the same HDMI cord (Mac Book Pro), it worked fine. I have also connected my PS3 through the same cord to the blue ray and it worked too. My question is what is preventing my laptop from being seen through the blue ray player? I don't want to connect it to the Projector itself cause I want to use the surround sound system also.

Will the NVIDIA Ge-force gt 770m 1gb be good for Solid Works?

I'm a high school student and I'm looking for a laptop that will run solid works smoothly. My budget is around 1200 and I'm hoping that this laptop will last me for at least four to five years. I've been eying the lenovo thinkpad T440p which comes with a intel HD 4600 integrated graphics. With an option to upgrade to the NVIDIA Ge-force gt 770m 1gb. Since it is a gaming oriented graphics card, i want to know if i'll be seeing any massive improvements in performance if i do choose the NVIDIA. I won't be making anything massive, around 100 part assemblies. Also, i may do some gaming (dragon age origins, mass effect 2) and i want to know if it can run those games smoothly and on what settings.

if it is important, i'm deciding between the Intel Core i7-4700MQ or the Intel Core i5-4200M.

How Safe is It To Carry Laptop in a Cabin Luggage?

We will be flying with wizzair from an EU city to Eindhoven then take bus to Amsterdam. Then same route to get back. We will travel only with cabin bagage and have bought big CabinMax backpacks.

I'm thinking whether I should carry my new 13.3 inch Lenovo Yoga Pro 2 i7 256GB SSD with me because I paid quite a decent amount for it. I also have one older 12 inch Asus EeePC, but it's very underpowered and has small resolution screen.

We will be out walking around most of the time, but there may be an emergency from work and I would probably need a decent notebook.

I really want to bring the Lenovo with me, but I'm mostly concerned about saftey during travelling with airplane and bus. What do you guys say?

I don't understand the specs such as how the processors each compare to each other.

2nd attempt- Battlefield 4 PC, SLI problem?

My computer is a Lenovo Ideapad Y400, i7 model. Recently, I purchased the second GPU add-on, which greatly improved game performance for all of my games… EXCEPT for Battlefield 4. For some reason, even on Medium settings i'm averaging 22-28 FPS, which is a minimal gain from the single card. What gives?
