How to activate my second graphics card?

I bought, about a two months ago, a Lenovo Ideapad y510p. I bought the model that included dual NVIDIA 755M 2gb graphics cards, but I have a feeling that my second card is not active.

Does it come factory enabled? Or do I have to manually activate it?

The reason I'm asking this question is because I'm playing Skyrim with more than a hundred mixed mods. I have no performance issues, but my FPS takes a hit in certain areas. With the graphics power of one of the 755M cards, I would understand this… But with two, I shouldn't have a problem right?

Basically, if anyone can tell me how to activate the second card, or if it is factory activated, that would be great. Thank you.

Added (1). I figured out how to fix my problem.

I simply entered the nvidia configuration menu and enabled SLI. My games have been running much smoother now. Thank you for all the responses.

Added (2). Oh and also. The laptop does contain two physical cards (for all those who claimed it did not). Just so you know.

Need a new laptop - advice on best one for me?

My old laptop has recently died - a HP Pavilion DV6-2112sa, and I'm on the hunt for a replacement for it!

I generally used it for storage of pictures and music, browsing the internet and the occasional game. As I'm heading out to uni in September; I'd like one that's able to do the usual mundane stuff but with the option to be a little more powerful for games or fun stuff to keep me entertained in free time haha! Just some advice on a laptop that's portable (but not too small), powerful (but not too expensive) and has good screen resolution for watching films as that's an actual part of my degree!

I've heard good things about Acer, Asus and Lenovo - but if there's any specific models that can be advised that would be great.

Thanks for any help!

Added (1). Up to £400ish is the budget also!

How to fix laptop stuck on starting windows screen?

I have a lenovo G570 laptop that's about 2 years old running with windows 7. It was working fine yesterday, but this morning when I started it, it got stuck on the starting windows screen. I have tried to do a system restore with no luck and a startup repair which has only said that the problem can't be fixed at the moment and then shuts my computer back down. I honestly have no idea what I'm doing… Any suggestions to what I should do?

Is my integrated graphics card powerful enough on its own?

I have a Lenovo laptop, AMD A10 5750, Radeon 8650G + 8570M (My laptop memory, which the IGP feeds off of is running at 1866mhz, Hyper X Memory, fastest I've been told it supports) Dual Graphics, However, I have been curious and have been messing around with the switchable graphics settings. I ran benchmarks and played games both with dual graphics on and off… And I have to say… The results are either that the Integrated GPU performs smoother, or on par with the dual graphics on. So my question is, what's the point of the the dual graphics solution, when the performance gain isn't even noticeable? I'm using the latest 14.4 Catalyst Drivers, most of my games run just fine on my integrated 8650G (overclocked) at medium to high settings, so should I just leave the dedicated card off? Or is the 8570m worth using?
