Need a laptop for playing these games at under $650. Help? - 1

I need a new gaming laptop. I need portability and hence need a laptop. I know if I put that much money into a gaming rig, I would get better performance. But go to friends house for LAN parties and need a laptop. My budget is 650$ and I can't go any further. I will not be buying this but my parents will( I'm 16).

I will not be buying this laptop in the US but in a Middle Eastern country called Oman. Laptops like Sagaer, MSI and other laptops which aren't that worldwide aren't available here, so, please don't recommend them. Also I'm not a big fan of Toshiba, so don't recommend them either. Companies like Acer, Asus, Lenovo, and other worldwide companies will help.

I want to be able to play the following games at Low-Medium settings.
1. Battlefield 4
2. CoD: Ghosts
3. ArmA II/ArmA III
4. Planetside 2
5. Dota 2

Lenovo ideapad y510p screen is flickering.Why?

I have my Lenovo for a couple of months now, but there's a huge problem with it. When I start a game, the screen starts to kinda flicker and stutter in a way. I have tried almost everything. Should i return it and get a new one, or is there a solution? It's making me very angry now and I just can't enjoy any game no longer. I tried it on Windows 7 and 8 but I think the problem is in my Nvidia Video Card.

Internet cable not working on other pc?

I have 2 laptop and 2 internet connection
laptop 1 = lenovo g560 i3, 2gb memory working fine
laptop 2 = the same as laptop 1 but has higher [ memory, HDD, vcard] working fine

internet 1 = dsl connection 1mb, modem with Wi-Fi with 4 extra pc ports [ provided by isp]
internet 2 = dsl connection 1mb, his modem is like a direct., 2 ports, the cable that goes to internet and cable that goes to pc.,.

so internet 2 was installed and the pc they use is laptop 1.,

so here i'm at internet 2 place, i brought my laptop 2 and used internet 2 and plugged on laptop 2.

but it says no internet connection, it have a exclamation mark.,
but when i plugged it on its original pc[laptop 1 ] it works.,

i already tried plugging laptop 2 using internet cable on internet 1 and it works properly, so when internet 2 doesn't work on laptop 2 i assumed that internet 2 is at fault.,

so my question.,
is internet 2 only usable on laptop 1?
cuz i want internet on laptop 2., and i can't cuz i don't have Wi-Fi only way is to borrow the internet 2 to laptop 1.

Suggest me a good gaming laptop under rs 50,000?

I want to buy a laptop which i would use mostly for gaming and some really heavy multitasking
screen size doesn't matter
battery life doesn't matter weight doesn't matter
at least gt 740m graphics needed
i need at least more than 6 gigs of ram
lenovo would be preferred
need atleast an 4th gen i5 /i7 or 3rd gen i7

i can increase my udget with + 5000rs
urgent responders would be very thankfull

Laptops lifespan increase?

My lappy is lenovo g580 and specs are win7 ultimate, win8 pro, i5 3rd gen quad core 2.5 ghz,4gb ram,1gb nvidia gt610,500 gb hdd. I use my laptop basically for heavy games like splinter cell blacklist, assassins creed black flag, batman arkham origin, sleeping dogs, resident evil 6, any latest games. My laptop is 1.5 years old. I'm worry about laptop.so please how my lappy will last long and how to increase lifespan? I don't play games everyday and not use laptop everyday. I use to play games in summer and winter 8hrs daily.

Best gaming laptop for =< 1500?

I'll be going for windows, and would like to be in the 800-1500 range. It will not be purely for gaming, I need it for school (engineering major) so some portability and non gaming programs are necessary. However, I probably will not take it too often and I would like to be able to play some next gen games on it (especially elder scrolls online, i like mmorpgs). I was eyeballing lenovo. Could you give me some links to some decent laptops within my price range and also your opinion on the rig you've suggested

My Lenovo laptop stopped playing sound?

I just got a new Lenovo laptop about a month ago. Then today I went to watch a video and nothing happened. The video played but no sound. I then tried other sites and still no sound anywhere. Everything is set to full volume but there's still no sound. I even turned off the computer and restarted it but it didn't help. Also nothing plays with headphones either. I don't know what to do.

Which is Better: A Macbook Pro or an i5 Windows Ultrabook and Why?

Honest question here.

I'm contemplating on buying a new laptop soon. I read in professional reviews that the new MacBook Pro is the king of laptops, and all other Windows laptops follow suit but I just can't seem to understand why.

My laptop needs are simple:

-Editing and making documents
-Gaming
-Internet

I understand that all of my needs can easily be met with a simple laptop. But I'm also looking for speed, sound quality, and display quality.

Currently, I'm using a Lenovo s400 Touch. While it certainly meets my needs, I'm very unhappy with its screen resolution.

Also, can you guys recommend a Windows laptop that has HD properties and high screen resolution? Much appreciated!
