Blank screen after windows 8 restore?

Hi, what it is is i tryed to put windows 7 on my lenovo g580 but because its updated and it gpt i had to format the hard drive to ntfs but then laptop diddent work. So i converted it back to gpt and reinstalled windows 8 but when i turn it on it all lights up (the screen and sounds from fan ) but no image on screen just a black lit up screen. If i put my other hard drive in it wich is also a gpt it works fine. Just wonder'd if anyone could help Please

ASUS N550JK vs Lenovo Y510p? Should I buy now or wait?

I want to buy a NEW Multimedia Laptop and I believe these 2 brands are the best. Now I like the Lenovo Y510p but I heard that It has overheating issues and I'm looking to buy a PERFORMANT and DURABLE laptop.
wondering which model is better? My budget is ok for both.

Also what is the latest model? The ASUS n550jk or n550jv? Or N56JR?

I want the LATEST 2014 model? Should I buy now or wait for Lenovo and ASUS to come out with new ones?

Windows 8 update queries?

So I was gonna buy a new laptop and It comes pre installed with windows 8… So I was planning to update to windows 8.1 first before using it… But I know the update is pretty big and it will take a while to download… So if I install any apps and games like need for speed or battlefield and normal apps like firefox and an antivirus… Will windows uninstall these apps once I finish downloading and install the 8.1 update? Also… How big is the update to windows 8.1? And do you think it's worth updating to windows 8.1 or should I just stick with windows 8 itself… Any help is appreciated…

How to get my laptop connected once more?

I recently changed my Wi-Fi password and now when i try to connect my computer, a lenovo, the router appears but won't connect. I've done a bit of research and was explained that the old password was saved and that the only way to undo this and be able to submit the new password was through erasing something or changing something in the network settings. Can someone explain how to do this in a windows 8 operating system?
