Can't mess with GPU graphics?

I bought the new lenovo y-40. The expensive on with 1 TB and 8 GBssd. It has an AMD radeon r9 m275x GPU then it has a intel family HD graphics and a intel i-7. Do i not have control on how to work the GPU?Cant mess with GPU graphics

What is this heatsink for?

I'm such a noob when it comes to motherboards. So do you know what this heatsink is for? Planning to take it off and see what it is at the same time i apply some thermal compund. By the way its a lenovo motherboard (LGA1155) it get hot once i turn my custom gaming pc on.What is this heatsink for - 1

Should i get an aienware or lenovo?

The alienware is priced at 1799 and includes a r9m290x 500gb 16 ram but the lenovo y70 70 is priced at 1199 which includes a gtx 860m 1tb and 16 ram so is the better gpu and memory and the alienware logo worth the extra 600.Games il be playing are mostly stragety like civ 5 beyond earth command and conquer etc and some rpg games dragon age skyrim etc
