Lenovo Yoga 720 overheating?

When playing graphics intensive game my Lenovo yoga has lately been overheating and causes my FPS to drop a lot. This didn't happen before so I'm not sure if one of the fans could potentially be out or if it's just the throttle limiter so the couch doesn't get too hot.

My Lenovo yoga book will only let me use the create pad with the stylus for drawing on the note app that it comes with, and anytime I try to draw with the stylus on any other art app it either won't do anything or automatically redirects me to the note taking app. But it lets me use my finger to draw on the screen in those art apps, but still not the stylus even on screen. How do I fix this?
