Volume on my laptop won't work?
I have a Lenovo Ideapad and the volume doesn't work on my laptop. I have tried going on YouTube but the volume doesn't work. The video doesn't even play actually. It always says I have an error. I updated Java and Adobe but it still won't work. I tried playing a video from another website, the video works but there's no volume. I'm 100% sure my laptop is not on mute. What can I do to get volume again?

CPU vs Screen Resolution for game dev?
I wanna buy a new laptop(budget under 1000$) and right now I'm totally confused. At this price range, I'm stuck between two models.
Lenovo IdeaPad Z5070 {
CPU => core i7 4510U, 2.00GHz up to 3.10 GHz, 2 cores, Haswell;
RAM => 8GB DDR3;
GPU => NVIDIA GeForce 840M 4GB;
Screen => 15.6" Full HD 1080p
};
Lenovo ThinkPad Edge E531 {
CPU => Core i7 3632QM, 2.20GHz up to 3.20 GH, 4 cores, Ivy Bridge;
RAM => 8GB DDR3;
GPU => NVIDIA GeForce GT 740M 2GB;
Screen => 15.6" 1366x768;
};
Right now I'm just developing websites, but in a near future there's a great possibility that I will start android game development(using unity or any other engine).
Now the question is considering the better GPU and CPU of E531, does the full hd resolution of z5070 outweigh the GPU and CPU power of E531 for me?
If I didn't wanna start game dev, I'd definitely buy E531, since z5070 is even more expensive.
Note 1: Haswell(4510U) processors perform 2% - 10% better than Ivy Bridge(3632QM) at equal frequencies but still 3632QM has got 4 cores.
Note 2: GeForce GT 740M is only SLIGHTLY better than 840M(Or at least that's what I think).
I bought a Lenovo G500s about 6 months ago. Recently the audio has been all of a sudden not working?
When I restart the laptop the sound will start working again but after a while you have to restart again. It is Windows 8 and the driver says Conexant SmartAudio HD and Intel(R) Display Audio. Both are saying up to date. Anybody have any ideas?

Nee Help! What laptop should I get for college? I'm a Computer Science major?
I'm going to college and was wondering what laptop would be best for a Computer Science major? I don't want anything to pricey, but right now i'm just looking for suggestions. Several people (best buy employees) have recommended the Lenovo Yoga 2, which turns into a tablet. I just need to make sure the laptop will last a while and is worth the price. Any suggestions would be great!
Is this laptop good for Sims 3 and Minecraft?
I want a laptop that can be able to handle games like Sims 3, and Minecraft. It's not like I'm playing Elder Scrolls, or something, so the laptop doesn't have to be like "THE BEST GAMING LAPTOP IN THE WORLD' but one that can handle simpler games. Is this laptop okay? If you have any better, please tell me.

Is this laptop good enough? - 1
Well I wanted to buy a cheap laptop, and the best deal I found was a Lenovo IdeaPad G505 laptop, with the following specs:
Processor: AMD E1-Series E1-2100 1.0GHz Dual core 1 MB cache
Display: 15.6" HD LED Glare Wedge 1366x768
Memory: 4GB DDR3 SDRAM
Storage: 500GB HDD
Optical Device: DVD Recordable (Dual Layer)
Graphics: Integrated Radeon HD 8210
Ports: 2x USB 3.0, USB 2.0, HDMI-out, 2-in-1 card reader (SD/MMC)
Everything seems good except the processor. I may fear its the least powerful from many of the cheap laptops on offer here. They mainly use Intel Celeron's, some with a higher clock speed, for example:
One has a E1-2500 with 2GB's of RAM, Intel 2957U 1.40GHz 2MB Cache with 4GB's of RAM, Intel Dual Core1000M 1.8GHz with 4GB's of RAM. As far as I heard AMD processors are best at gaming and multi-tasking compared to the Intel ones which are best suited for single tasking.
I don't play too much demanding games, GTA San Andreas, Flight Simulator, Programming and Web Surfing(Movies, YouTube).
Am I good with that Lenovo laptop or should I seek alternatives?
