I need a laptop for college and want a reliable brand. I know within every brand there are bad models and very solid reliable models. But which ones are the most reliable. I'm looking at a Lenovo, Asus, HP, and Dell.
I'd like to get a good laptop for both work and play. Think like a "high performance laptop".
I'd like one around say $600-$800.
It should be able to run Skyrim.
Preferably companies like HP or Lenovo. No Dells please.
And with a 1 TB hard drive.
My lenovo G500 laptop speaker has just stopped working, it is only 2 months old any ideas what's wrong?
It was happened before 15 days ago. Laptop doesn't starts up but indicatior lights on for few seconds, after one day it has been starts up without any repair. But for two days same problem araises again. If mother board is dead then how can indicator lights on? So what is the cause and solution?

How do I change all of these to best battery health, instead of high performance?
I knew that Lenovo batteries were bad but I didn't know that they were THIS bad! I bought my Lenovo Z510 on May 26th, and the battery is already getting worse.

It used to last 3 hours (I knew this before I bought the laptop and I thought that 3 hours was do-able), but now it only lasts 2 hours, at 76% it already goes down to 1:34 hours! I can't use Energy management either, when I set EM to "Best battery health" and click 'apply', it simply goes back to 'best battery runtime' which I don't want! Any ideas to either restore the battery or prevent it from getting worse? (I already used 'battery gauge reset' several times, so uncharging it and fully charging it again).
I play The Sims 3 on this laptop and I thought that the high performance for the game might've damaged the battery but I highly doubt it! Before I go to bed I unplug my laptop as well, I don't know what I'm doing wrong.
So I have a Lenovo p400 idea pad, which I use for school. I'd like to say I take really good care of it. I only move it if it needs to be moved. It's always in a cool environment, and I have a laptop cooling pad to cool things, and it's elevated to ensure good airflow. I make sure it doesn't get dusty, and clean out any dust. I turn it off every night and make sure files aren't fragmented. However, I'm a huge Leaguer, so I play pretty regularly, especially over the summer when I play a few matches almost daily. I don't over clock it and I run the laptop at recommended settings, so I'm not really pushing it. I do play dead space on it every now and then though. Still I feel a little paranoid. Maybe it's just my OCD? How do y'all think it is? What do you think the life span is if I keep using it the way I do?
I want a laptop for gaming. I don't need a high fi computer with deep gaming perfomance, i like a computer with smooth gaming without any lag in high graphics, so i selecter Lenovo Essential G505s which is under my budget. Anybody please help me with some opinion about this and suggest me some other laptop best 4 gaming around this budget, hope anyone helps
