Which Laptop should i buy for college/personal use?

I'll mostly be using the laptop for coding/learning to code in various languages, making presentations etc and also to watch movies, soaps and web browsing. My budget is only upto Rs. 30,000. My main concern was which processor to go for. Laptops in this budget only come with pentium dual core processors or amd quad core or dual core processors (even my present laptop bought in 2009 has PDC) . So would that be enough? Also I want this laptop to work nicely for at least four years of engineering school.

Added (1). P.S.: I'm not really a big fan of chromebooks so if you wish to suggest that please also tell me why a chromebook against windows.

Lenovo new bought laptop G500- problems Wi-Fi and screen + malware?

Yesterday I bought a new laptop from Lenovo. Didn't need to be much I figured, as I use it mainly to chat from my room in the attic (some distance away from the router), watch some photos, watch youtube, browse the net.

However, upon starting the laptop (windows 8 operating system) and going online, there was a mass of spam coming up. I decided to install google chrome as I thought that would eliminate the problem.
Not so! Then firefox, but exactly the same. Fine I thought, so I installed a malware tracer and that found 9 items and cleared them.

Later on, when browsing online, I noticed my screen was tingling on the right side of the screen. Long, small vertical bands. Very weird, haven't seen it before.

And in the evening, to make things worse, my Wi-Fi started going on and off, just in the middle of a fun chat with a friend.

I'm desperate and would like to bring the item back and get a replacement (or money back even).
However, I checked the terms and conditions, and apparently they don't take it back, but rather search for a fix. However, the Wi-Fi is quite essential for me, so I hope to pinpoint my hopes on that + on that screen issue.

My question now: how do I delete most of the things I installed/downloaded on it? Will the recycle bin suffice? I want to hand it in as if nothing got installed on it.
