How to fix my computer battery?

I have a Lenovo laptop, and I got it, I believe the summer of 2012, at bestbuy, where this version was only found. When I got it, it suggested that if I keep it plugged in most of the day, essentially not using the laptop function, I should lower the battery maximum to 60%, so it never charges the whole thing. I'm not sure if that actually helped or not, but now I want that other 40%. How do I do it?

What is the best custom laptop you can build for around $1500?

So you have $1500 to spend to customize your own laptop, where do you buy from and what would your specs be? Go crazy and show me what you personally would build!

(for example, a sager NP7358from Xoticpc.com with X, Y, and Z costing $X, XXX)

Added (1). I already built my own desktop… I need a laptop now because I travel a lot for work and want the best laptop possible for my money

Laptop won't sleep when lid is closed?

I have a Lenovo P400 with Windows 8 and just today, I experienced the laptop not going to sleep when the lid is closed while plugged in. If it is running off of the batter, it sleeps, but not when I have it plugged in. I don't remember changing any settings, and I just started experiencing this. Nothing is blocking the lid by the way

Added (1). After I posted this question, I looked more into it and did that, my computer is already on that setting. It says sleep when lid is closed (plugged in). I'm not entirely sure why it stays on when I shut it, do I have to reset the computer or something?

How will I fix my Lenovo z580 that I spilled water upon?

I know I shouldn't be eating and drinking near my laptop, but I do it anyway, and I apologize. However, I recently spilled water (and I mean water, not cola or anything; just water) on my laptop, and I waited for it to dry off, but I didn't take any parts out because I know nothing about computers. Now, when I turn it on, it seems to work just fine, but some keyboard keys aren't working and the touch-pad is unresponsive. Because I didn't take any parts out, I don't know if the spill affected anything else, so first, I would like to know what else might have been affected, next, I would like to know if it would be expensive to get someone to fix this or if I should just get another laptop, and finally, I would like to know where I could learn about fixing computers in general so when something like this happens again, I will be able to figure something out.
