Lenovo laptop cut off after being plugged into power supply and won't turn on?
Added (1). I had it turned on at the start screen and plugged in the power supply. The battery was already at half. The plug was already turned on when I plugged it in.
So annoying.
I work in finance, so I've been ripping out the F1 keys on my keyboards for years, but I just got a new laptop and would prefer not to have to do this quite yet. Is there a way?
I should say that I have a Lenovo Thinkpad. Do they have a tool?
I need a new computer for school (I've had the same laptop for about 7 years and I'm clueless about some new stuff) I found a lenovo 2 in 1 laptop that I like for the price but I was wondering if Microsoft Office 2010 can be downloaded/will run on a 2 in 1 with no disk drive.
Also are there any better options for college students that you would recommend?
I don't have a desktop so I use my laptop a lot. I use it for a really long time so I really want a good battery because with my past laptops even though I remove the battery from the laptop when I know I'm gonna be using it for a long time but when I bring my laptop elsewhere the battery could not even last for an hour and I use it only for power point presentations when I take it out. Also can you suggest a laptop that has the power to run the latest versions of Adobe Creative Suites and Sony Vegas. And can you specify what specs I need to consider in buying one because now that I'm having problems with my laptop I only realized how important specs are. Oh and if its possible can you suggest a laptop that will not be extremely heavy when you bring it? And I really much prefer a laptop with a 15 inch display if possible with a numeric keypad. Budget will be $1500 dollars.

So there are 4 lights on my laptop as seen in the image.
WHEN MY LAPTOP IS OPEN AND THE CHARGER IS PLUGGED IN
The 2nd one is always on, the 1st one is always on, the 3rd one is off, the 4th one blinks really short, but not often
WHEN MY LAPTOP LID IS CLOSED
They are all off except the 1st one which blinks every second.
BTW, this is a Lenovo Y50.
Can someone explain what each light means and why it blinks?
Added (1). When my laptop is closed and charger is in, the 2nd light stays on, all others are off except the first one which blinks once a second.

I accidentally stepped on the power cord while it was plugged in the laptop while i had it on the couch lol and it must have bended hard enough to make a wire come loose inside it and a piece of the cover broke off possibly damaging it even more i looked online and it seemed likenit would take days to fix it myself. What are some good stores to take it to and how much should it cost. It is a lenovo ideapad z585
