I'm installing PNY XLR8 120GB 2.5" SATA III SSD on my Lenovo ThinkPad Edge 14 laptop by removing DVD drive, when I'm powering it on, its looking for DHCP server and later gives a message "No operating system found"
I have changed the boot sequence to local HDD drive, Laptop has windows 8.1 installed. Any Idea what should I do next?
I got my brand new lenovo thinkpad stolen yesterday. Literally bought it from the shops, and a couple of hours later had it stolen from my car!

Which is the best gaming laptop?
I'm currently in need of a notebook for college. I want sufficient raw power and portability since i go around campus and spend a lot of time there. I want to be able to plays most game in a slim factor enough for school and playtime. Ces 2014 revealed the lenovo next y series, y40/50 in which it's slim while also have the power that i'm searching for. Should i wait? Or look for alternative option. Its gonna be a hard month or two depending on whether or not they'll announce a release date but manageable. GTA expected us students to bring laptop to class in which i find unnecessary also that why i'm really in need of one. If my vaio keyboard didn't died on me i could of wait to upgrade but life happen… My budgets is between $0-1,150$. The current y series the y510p have my preferred specs but the portability factor turned me down even though it's purty cheap. Just an fyi i'm pretty small guy so yeah that is why i don't want a bulky notebook. I would spend most my time in the library but computer are limited and it's usually crowded there. The reason i choose a gaming notebook because of it's power meaning longer life time usage than most cheap laptop that'll be out of date sooner. Sorry for long post thanks for reading. Any other suggestion would be nice I'm open minded about other product just used lenovo because they have better pricing right now. Have a good day guys.
This may sound really strange but my computer is beeping when I type the word was. It is only the word was and nothing else. I have a Lenovo Thinkpad Twist with an operating system of Windows 8.1 if that helps.

The overall specs are pretty similar but there's just some minor details that id like to know before I commit to this. I did some research on the specs but i'm no expert so I can't tell what would be more worth it. I will be using this for schoolwork/gaming.

Here are the spec differences for the 2 models and how much they cost:
1.) 1TB HDD + 8GB SSHD, 2x Nvidia GeForce GT 755M(Sli) ----> ~$1, 100
2.) 1TB HDD + 24GB SSD, 2x Nvidia GeForce GT 750M(Sli) -----> ~$1, 050
The differences seem minimal, at least to me. What would be the better option for what ill be using the laptop for? I'm somewhat a gamer and like to play on high/ultra settings so i'm leaning more towards the better gpu option. But would a 24GB SSD (vs 8GB SSHD) be more bang for my buck?

Added (1). EDIT: The first one lists a 2GB GDDR5 VRAM while the second just says 2GB. Assuming the 2nd is DDR3 or something, would the 24GB SSD option still be more worth it?

Ok, so I disabled my mic on the control panel, but I can't enable it again. Once I disabled it, it doesn't recognize the internal mic and says "no devices installed." I might of accidentally uninstalled the mic, but I don't its likely? How Do I get my mic to be recognized, because I certainly do have a internal mic.
