How to upgrade my computer?

I have an old computer http://www.amazon.com/...B00AOUU5D8 and I want to upgrade some parts of it. If i could, i want to keep the case, power supply, ram, and hard drive because 1tb hdd and 8gb ram is pretty good. If i were to buy a processor that fits with my new motherboard, can i replace the processor and motherboard with my new one, and will it fit the case? Also, will i be able to add a graphics card to it?

Windows 8 won't boot, I have a few ideas, need some

Things I have:
A laptop with a fully intact hard drive (Lenovo Y510P)
-No disk drive or external disk drive
-A version of windows 8 which is "missing some required information from the boot configuration data file" (error code: 0xc0000034)

A 1 TB USB external HDD (not 100% sure how much of this I can use, as it doesn't belong to me)
A USB flash drive with a few GB of data
Other working desktops with Windows 8 on them

So here are the options Lenovo gave me:
-Use the OneKey Recovery system from Lenovo to reset the computer to factory settings and have my computer working within 5 minutes, but also lose all of my data (not preferable)
-Pay Lenovo $120 to have them back up my files (not my programs) and then reset to factory settings (Also not preferable)

And here are some better do-it-yourself options I found from doing some research:
-Backup my data and re-install Windows 8 using the partition from another computer
-Backup my data and then do the OneKey Recovery thing and reinstall everything

So basically what I'm wondering is what I should do, and how I should do it without screwing things up.

I'm looking for a good desktop speakers. What is bass?

I've seen that they're comparing with "bass". I've seen lenovo speakers in a webstore. It is said that it has low bass, but in other features, it is good. Can you suggest a good desktop speakers for me?

How to transfer files on a computer that doesn't work?

My stepdad upgraded drivers on a Lenovo windows vista computer that he put a cracked version of windows 8 on. The drivers were not compatible with the pentium processor and I got a blue screen of death. Now when I turn my computer on it asked me to refresh or restore my computer. Restoring erases all files and apps and any recent system changes, hopefully meaning the updated drivers. Can I take the ram or whatever put it into another laptop, transfer my files to it, take the ram put it back restore my computer then put my files back onto my computer? I do not have access to a desktop and have no back up

GeForce GT 755 vs AMD Radeon HD 6950?

I currently use a desktop computer for gaming. It has one AMS Radeon HD 6950. I'm going to be switching to a gaming laptop soon. One of the options I'm looking at (Lenovo Y510p) has a GT755M graphics card.

I'm basically just wondering if I will see a big difference between the two. The 6950 seems to handle all of the games that I play, so I don't want my next card to be worse or (unnecessarily) much better. I just don't know enough about all of the different variables to compare the two. Thoughts? And any thoughts about the Y510p in general?

Why is my computer not making much sound?

I can't understand why, but my Windows 8 Lenovo Thinkcentre won't making any noise. It won't play any youtube videos, and when I play games on Steam, there's very little, almost completely silent sound. My speakers are part of my monitor, so I tried adjusting monitor audio settings to max volume, but it didn't help. I maxed the Windows speaker volume and game volume, but nothing worked. I checked all sound drivers, but all were working properly without need of update. I have no idea what's causing the problem. Can anyone give advice, answers, or a diagnosis? Thanks.

Added (1). It will load youtube videos, but the video won't acutally play back. I can't tell if that's a separate issue, like with Adobe Flash Player.

I need drivers for a printer?

I have a HP Photosmart wireless e-all-in-one b110 series printer and i'm running Zorin OS 8 Lite on a IBM Lenovo ThinkCentre.

I need LINUX drivers for this printer. If there are not any drivers for this printer can i use the retail drivers CD with Wine?

Music Production Desktop: Dell XPS 8700 vs Lenovo IdeaCentre K450?

Currently I use a Mac for Music Production, but I'm now ready to invest in a Windows PC as well to expand my resources. I need a high performance desktop and have been debating on a few specific models for the past week. Any insight from users of these desktops or even if you know anything about them besides general info, it would be much appreciated.

And don't mention HP because I was initially looking at HP, but realized from all the research that HP is a horrible, unreliable brand for performance PCs.

I'm debating between the Dell XPS 8700 and the Lenovo IdeaCentre K450.
Here are some quick specs:

Dell XPS 8700
- Intel® Quad Core i7-4770 3.4GHz, up to 3.9GHz
- 8 GB or 12 GB Dual Channel DDR3 RAM (8 GB close to $750 / 12 GB close to $900)
- 1 TB HDD SATA
- nVidia GeForce GTX 645 1Gb Video Card
- Windows 8.1
- Wi-Fi & Bluetooth Enabled
- 6 USB 3.0 Ports
- 4 USB 2.0 Ports

***Dell 8GB XPS 8700: $750 - $800
***Dell 12GB XPS 8700: $850 - $1000

Lenovo IdeaCentre K450
- Intel® Quad Core i7-4770 3.4GHz
- 12 GB Dual Channel DDR3 RAM (Can be expanded to 32 GB)
- 2 TB HDD SATA
- NVIDIA Geforce GTX 650 2GB Video Card
- Windows 8
- Wi-FI Enabled
- 4 USB 3.0 Ports
- 2 USB 2.0 Ports

*****Lenovo IdeaCentre K450: $829 ( I think this is a steal!) - Original is over $1000

I'm leaning towards the Lenovo as not only is it a more reliable and innovative brand than Dell, but also the desktop has better specs. What do you think?

Google Chrome keeps hanging! What do I do?

Every time when I use Google Chrome, in like a few seconds it freezes. Tried to wait, but nothing happens. I can't click, type or do anything on it, so I closed the window and opened it again, the same thing happens again; a few seconds and it freezes. Can some one give me instructions on how to fix this so that I could use Chrome again without any problems please?

Using a Lenovo computer (I forgot what type it is, and I don't know if it's a low-end, a mid-end or a high end computer)

Which setup is better for dolphin?

First off I own the games i'm trying to emulate.Ok here is the deal: I have 2 PC's, one that is a desktop that I use for schoolwork. The other is a lenovo all in one that was given to me when I went to college, that I just mess around on. I want to run dolphin with the fastest FPS possible (my dream is to play 4 player split screen mario kart double dash, but i don't know if this is possible with my hardware).

Here are the specs for the two systems. I know NOTHING about computer hardware so help is much appreciated! I ALSO have a amd phenom x4 9800GT XLR8 performance edition graphics card laying around that I could put into either computer, could y'all tell me if this would be an upgrade or even worse?
